No but i do think his interaction with Protobelt needs to be looked at.

The ability to give him an extra mini-dash + aoe damage kind of pushes him over the top.

I think Protobelt nerfs have all but been confirmed (Meaning it is practically assured to be nerfed in a coming patch).

Would that be enough to put Kennen in a good spot?

Probably. Kennen was never a problem until Protobelt.

Only if you're a water type melee that is squishy.

His ult and auto attack frame/base attack speed need tuning. I don't really feel like he has too many other issues atm.

If protobelt were truly the core issue, there would be many champs that would be larger problems than him.

Go watch some videos. Yes, protobelt does some damage, but pay attention to how much damage his ultimate does by itself for a massive AoE utility spell. Ever since they made the damage ticks consistent, its been absurd, just most of the top laners at the time could easily bully him out of the game.

He was still an LCS pick at times despite protobelt not yet existing. His early itemization caused him to suffer in lane against many match-ups, though.

FYI, his ult does ~300/550/800+150% AP and he still has the best auto attack frames in the game.

Only when he has Protobelt, it makes his engages damn near impossible to predict or stop. You should be rewarded for escaping or stopping his engage, but with Flash and Protobelt that is pretty much impossible, he can go in pretty much any direction.

No, but I feel his ult is overtoned as excuse for his basic abilities. Protobelt is also a bit much.
