Riot is nerfing Aurelion Sol because his win ratio is "high"

He's new. They clearly stated that people with a decent amount of games on him had a higher winrate than they would've liked. With a bunch of people still first-timing him, over 50% is crazy.

EDIT: People with 15-50 games have a 62% (ish) winrate.

His kit is extremely easy to use, no reason to their winratios not to be good. Being on top of him counters 3 of his spells LOL. Also, his playratio is really low, so very few people have been doing good with him .

It is over 50% despite the fact that it hasn't even been a week since he is out.

People generally tend to suck with champs in the first weeks(except if the new champ is extremely op,or requires some specific counterplay like Illaoi ),I mean when Yasuo came out people thought he was underpowered...

And he was. Several changes were done and them people realized he was OP

The thing is that the nerfs heavily outweighed the buffs. When yasuo was buffed they gave him some quality-of-life-changes and made it so that his ult gave him maximum flow.

The nerfs on the other hand heavily reduced his flow generation and shield strenght. Later he got a bit more base armor, but after that he got a huge series of nerfs on his damage and flow.

Meaning that yes,Yasuo was actually op on release and they gave him buffs because the players simply couldn't play him.

Yasuo never got dmg nerfs on his Q nor his R.

while they didn't nerf the damage on his Q or R,they did nerf the damage from his E and made his Q weaker in other ways(reduced the cdr-bonus of the Q and made its cast time longer)

Illaoi doesn't need specific counterplay. Dodging stuff is something you do against any skillshot champion

When Illaoi came out a lot of people had no idea how to handle her E.

People didn't realize that you need to attack Illaoi to make your ghost disappear, that when you become a vessel tentacles will spawn until you kill 3 of them, that when your teammate is a vessel you should leave them to him, etc.

Illaoi W? You can't dodge, but that shit deals no damage LOL

Actually dodging her shit wasn't all of it. Most people didn't understand what her e did at all and would just stand still while her tentacles killed them. Additionally diving her is a really bad idea as she gets insane combat potential with her ult. She is the one champion in league that has no cc, and still isn't worth diving 3v1.

Just because people in Bronze can't play him doesn't mean he inst strong. I watched a few various streams with AS and he can be obnoxiously strong.
