After tank rework, when they all will get damage cuts due to constant boards whining, all tanks will need similar amounts of hard cc to function. Math is simple - if you don't do much damage you need to lock enemies for a long time so they don't deal damage too.

Galio is like a tank-update preorder.

I don't mind this type of balancing. I will either have dmg to kill you or i will have the cc to make your dmg useless. Not the style of : I wont build any dmg yet outdmg you but i will also have enough utility to make you useless even behind.

who said i'mma play the game after they overload the game with cc? all my champs are weak to cc it's just gonna give me a reason to fully move to dota or cs:go .

This logic doesn't hold a lot of water as long as lifesteal remains in this game, tanks will be rendered literally useless by it.

You do realise that he will deal a lot more damage than the old one, right? Especially with 9% hp damage on the point where his two Q casts meet each other.

He doesn't have that much CC though. His AoE taunt is easier to counterplay and has shorter duration. He has a knockup (which is semi-reliable).

He lost his spammable slow in return.

Nah, at best, Galio has about 3.5 seconds of hard CC, all on moderate cooldowns and with pretty clear counterplay. Nautilus is still king.

True, I really like his kit and thinking of playing him as support, looks like it would be great.. but then again, playing vs. that shit would be fucking awful. 2 knock ups and a taunt with a magic shield and giving allies dmg reduction, hmmmm.
