Aery + Scorch + Cheap Shot is a huge amount of poke damage in lane with Lucent Singularity
Ultimate hat puts lux at pre nerf status on ult
Killing someone with 40% CDR, Full ultimate hat stacks with level 3 ult puts it at 12 second cooldown
Free CDR + Bonus AP means you get the faster ult quicker, plus you get to exploit 
as your secon item (80 ap, AOE shield on W + ardent = profit???)
Amazing laning phase with huge poke, Good mid game from CDR abuse and godly late game with 12s CD ult, AND you get to abuse whats not to love?
