Why doesn't this game have a Retro game mode?

every game has one except WOW that deleted the vanilla server, and... and?

i mean what harm could it bring to the game? dota2 has a retro game mode and nothing happens to the main game, i think we all know why league doesn't have one

because everyone wouldn't play the game anymore, we're all exhausted of season 7, we're all exhausted of getting gangbanged bot lane by 4 or 5 people or the jungle being ruined by vi/lee/heca we're all exhausted of seeing mages bot lane, if you're not i do because nothing is more frustrating than a "support" vel'koz/annie/brand/zyra/malz bringing more damage than an adc with little AP while bringing almost as much utility as normal supports Mid lane is a shitfest of mages, overshadowing every assassins Top lane is a shitfest of overpowered picks, old bruisers like renekton/wukong/jax just disappeared from the game and it won't be fixed because riot wakes up and changes 3 champions on pbe and then call it a day and wait 3 weeks to change 3 champions again

Champs get destroyed with their rework begging riot to revert their shit because the champion is no longer enjoyable, but hey i don't main rengar and malz i wonder what will happen to my main

Please just let me play your old game riot, you were amazing back then let me get season 3 or season 5, the old good league of legends that didn't finish at 15 min that allowed us to show our mid game/late game skill and decision making, the good old game that had so much versatility and diversity where Lee sin was as viable as other picks until you buffed him 2 or 3 times.

What exactly do you want back?

Let me remind you of a few things: Fiora, Poppy, Veigar. 5 Bloodthirsters. S3 God-Kassadin. Atmogs. Thresh/Leona being the only viable supports. S5 AP warwick.

People complained just as much back then, often for more valid reasons. People tend to forget the bad and remember the good.

Same can be said for the older seasons

Lee Sin was broken asf with his E as slow, higher q base dmg, bigger and better shield. Supports being no more than walking wards Level snowballing was a thing in S3 and S2, gl doing anything vs a riven 1 level up on you. People buying gold generation items with good cost effectiveness ,just waiting to make bank. dfg 1shotting everyone, leona graves botlane dominating every matchup

I haven't played DOTA to know how their feature worked, but what exactly are you looking for with this? For Riot to stand up severs for every version of the game back to alpha, and have client downloads for all of those patches? Or would they pick and choose patches from over the years to support? What's the policy for if someone finds a game-breaking bug with that patch (such as the instant recall bug, which was in the code long before it was discovered), do you patch Alpha League or do you leave it as is?

I think I'd rather have Riot work on fixing their spaghetti code so we have less instances where a champion that wasn't directly changed that patch has to be disabled because of a bug.

I want this game mode just to see how creative people can get with how champions would go with every item that was ever made come back.

Reintroduce every item created. Put everything back to their original state. Go as far as to go back to the shitty graphics since release. Maybe have certain editions of champions based on their rework with choices of their considered their best patch.

It would totally be fun as hell seeing the old gimmicks that were gutted because Riot doesn't embrace new ideas very well. Some of them were gutted for very good reasons but how about no bounds in what comes back. It won't be like URF mode where people become try hards and spam the OP champions.

Unfortunately that game mode will never happen as it would likely be a massive shitstorm of bugs.
