With Deathfire Grasp gone, why don't they revert the many changes made to Evelynn?

I don't know how the community feels, but I feel she was more interesting and fun to watch/play when she scaled solely off of ap. Deathfire Grasp on top of Haunting Guise + Sorc Boots broke her so much, but now that DFG is gone I feel like she could be a healthier assassin once again. Currently, while she's not op, I feel it's a little bs that she's an assassin that has to build tanky to get the job done compared to other assassins who just build straight AD or AP, nuke targets and get the job done.

Edit: I meant it was nice that she builds ap and does a lot of damage or gets blown up, but yeah her stealth will always be problematic.
