Why is every adc getting +5 but Miss Fortune getting -5 ad? Is this an error?

Unofficial PBE Patch Notes for 10/29/2015

47 ad with +1 per level is so, sooo harsh. :[

It seems they also removed the ad damage on her ult in favor of a shitty 0.2 AD + 0.2 AP ratio, while also reducing Strut's aspd active to 3 seconds from 6 (increased by 0.8 seconds every time she lands a Love Tap). These changes are gutting her... You're punishing her so much if she chooses to focus one target as a marksman should, on to of her having a god awful scaling for early and mid game. That 0.2 ad ratio will mean nothing until late game, and even then it'll just tickle. What are you doing to Miss Fortune, Riot? What did she ever do to deserve more harsh punishments while your notorious carries, Kalista and Jinx, are receiving more help than they are nerfs?

the fact that her ult can crit now?

So can Jinx's rockets but I guess that's none of my business.

They're critting at a modified number, though, and that's IF it crits. It's not per bullet, it's per whole wave. If it crits, all wave crits. If it doesn't crit, none of the waves crit. So it's rng-based on a 2 minute cooldown, THREE second channel.

....so new MF build is 5 IE's and a last whisper?

CrazedPorcupine4 votes

It's because of her lovetap passive.

Kitten of Evil6 votes

Which, to be fair, we don't know the numbers on. It could be very weak or very strong.

Vermonster3 votes

But also to be fair, forces you to intentionally play poorly by not focusing. oh yea, and she lost impure shots so unless Riot wants to do something horribly over powered in the numbers (expecting it on cait, graves, mf, kog, pretty much everybody after seeing these changes on each), then she is going to be god awful....

DokiDokiTodoroki1 votes

You can still focus in fights, wtf. Her normal autos aren't being affected. What the new passive does is help you build up poke damage in lane without just autoing through things and hoping that your opponents aren't able to use basic positioning.

Kitten of Evil1 votes

I think they're trying to keep her lane bully style, and in lane you're going to be poking when you get the chance, between CS. It makes sense at that stage, because it's basically just a front-loaded Impure Shots (which does what, 6% AD per stack?). In team fights it's definitely less optimal, but in teamfights you also have your ult.

Maybe its because shes op kek

Marthian12 votes

on live, she's strong in the right hands, but she isn't overbearing like some other carries (Jinx, Vayne, sometimes Draven.)

However, waiting until they finish posting all of the changes. So far, though, not liking where MF is heading though.

CasterGilgamesh3 votes

draven actually got nerfs to his attack speed and he already was slow to hit people in the first place

Marthian3 votes

Except he chunks champions extremely hard on those hits. Even one axe turns a fight in his favor.

Pretty much this, not to mention his AS buff which you have to take into account which has near 100% uptime in fights unless you fuck up.

CasterGilgamesh1 votes

He is pretty easy to poke out of lane if you wanted plus it's hard to catch his axe

Coming from someone who mains him: You're pretty wrong honestly. You're just not a draven player/good at him xP.

A Draven player? Those are a rare bunch I'm genuinely curious as to how you avoid getting poked and build him?

How to avoid being poked? Well it depends on the lane. Some lanes are going to be rough such as cait/jinx lanes for the same reason it's rough on anyone else, they have the highest range in the game. In lanes such as this it's just about playing it safe, using your W intelligently and making your axes fly back out of enemy attack range while staying at the very edge of your own. Lanes like this rely on the enemy making the mistake or your support setting up/making plays because you're right, you can't do much in that lane except punish. However if you can make something happen, you can push there shit in pretty hard if you get the chance.

As for builds, well no clue come the next patch still testing on the PBE. But for currently there are two main builds I personally enjoy.

1st build is a general, all purpose good in most situations build. I use this one when I am either even or behind the enemy laner. First item, you rush your blood thirster. You then get your I.E and of course your boots whenever you feel like you need them, same with the upgrade. from there you just go standard A.D. The reasoning behind this is fairly simple. Your W gives you enough Aspeed early to juggle two axes and your Axes' damage alone is enough to go on par with most I.E rushes, not to mention they give you huge chunks of life back per-hit which lets you win out most any 1v1 situation adn sustains you extremely well during team fights. It's a decent damage, safe start and it builds out well.

2nd build is for when I'm ahead which is the standard I.E rush. It's riskier on Draven because you're lacking the sustain but when you go I.E/PD (or shiv if you want, i like PD) then BT as your 3rd your Axes will be two or three shotting people thanks to the sheer power of the crits. Downside is of course you won't have your sustain for team fights which is a pretty big deal on Draven but that is why you use this build when you're ahead: You win by simply two shotting the enemy carry and walking all over them. You don't need sustain when you can kill half there team before they can drop you.

As for general lane tips, it really comes down to practice and learning one key concept: Which axes to catch, which axes to not catch. As that suggest there is a time to go and catch the axe and a time to let it drop and just refresh. It's all about good positioning and keeping the "High ground" so to speak with your foot work.

The other thing is BE AGGRESSIVE whenever possible. W for a burst of speed, AA them once or twice if you can, get back to safety. Generally just the one AA, run back and your axe bounces back out of there retaliation range. Even if they trade AA for AA you win the trade because Draven. If they decide they want to poke you, punish them and poke you back. You are Draven, you WILL win the trades if you're smart.

Sorry if this was a little all over the place, really late atm and i'm tired. Got any questions after just ask, I'll try to get to it when I'm not half-asleep.

CasterGilgamesh1 votes

Since he needs to actually work for his damage it seems like a decent trade.he is open to so much poke and his axe is pretty hard to catch and keep going while farming

iamleburk1 votes

I think they were saying something like he'd be OP with the new items otherwise

shes hits really hard now

Baculus3 votes

This isn't just losing 5 ad, it's actually losing a grand total of 41 AD by 18. They were lying through their teeth when they claimed MF wasn't crippled for Love Tap, a skill that requires poor positioning and mechanics to even use. It's shameful what their rework team is doing and there's nothing we can do; not even a refund.

Probably because she gets mixed damage is my only guess

Her impure shots were removed, so this shouldn't be the case any more to my understanding.

Revert Love Tap, keep ult changes, make it so ult can't crit but does damage, and make sure she's fast with strut a lot of the time. MissFortune

Her Cs'ing is so easy now, since you get a bonus 20 damage from your passive. So thats why they nerfed it I assume.

It's halved against minions. Which means it's more like a bonus... 10? When you figure in the loss of straight AD it's a net gain in the single digits.

Archenz1 votes

Shes completely bonkers strong.

I cant prove it, like i couldn't prove to all the Darius mains that their champion wasnt crap, that he was op on PBE. But when she rolls to live and is sitting at a 60% winratio. You be reminded.

junglerboy161 votes

I'd say be patient and wait to see how it plays out once the changes get some play time.

Last time everyone thought that a rework set was a major gutting we got Skarner, Garen, and Darius.

Vermonster2 votes

The community was right they would suck, just didn't see they would suck to play against. Riot sucks at balancing, its just a question of are they ruining a character you like, or making them OP as fuck so everybody starts playing them

Brimaz The King1 votes

It's Bc of her new passive love tap. So u hit 3 different minons then u poke their arc all that passive damage stacks. So a lower AD base is needed from making her over the top.

SoMNia1 votes

Because Love Tap hits like a truck. Strut's attack speed lasts as long as you keep using Love Tap, so she can maintain high attack speeds for a long time with a single cast. Double Up applies Love Tap to both targets, and doesn't require marking with Impure Shots to hit champions anymore. Her laning (bullying!), splitpushing, and teamfighting are stronger than ever. Even her ult got a buff (it's actually 70% AD per wave, so max damage is typically in the 3-4k range late game — this took me a bit of digging, because I kept seeing 20%, too). Only her dueling in isolated situations is weaker.

Riot is trying to get away from that idea of doing what "a marksman should" and make each champion have a niche and feel unique. MF still definitely is about taking objectives as an ADC, but she now has a much more consistent set of mechanics with which to do that. She has not been "gutted", but refocused.

Talith PA1 votes

Looking at it, it's because her new love tap passive works like J4 passive, only it deals 50-100% TOTAL AD in damage as long as you keep tagging a new target, meaning if you alternate between two targets you keep proccing it. I wonder how it works with hurricane.

Then there is her W attack speed which tripled in power early game and doubled in power lategame.

I'm seriously not going to cry over what looks like about 10 base AD difference when love taps are like having guaranteed mini to full fledged crits depending on level all game long. Excited to try her out.

DeynaTaggerung1 votes

Actually she's really scary on PBE right now because of her new passive and critting ult. I'd say those nerfs are probably a good idea.
