Let's face it, the average player...

wants

  • Games to last an hour and a half
  • To allow mages to free farm until they become unstoppable, never being contested in lane
  • To allow adc's to be played in every role imaginable but without diversity in the "adc" role
  • To allow tanks to absorb all assassin/bruiser damage and become immortal late game (thus everyone picks tanks and nobody dies)
  • Teamfights must last at minimum 10 minutes.
  • Riot to remove all dashes from the game
  • Riot to revert all reworks

I completely find sitting, playing the same game for 50-80 minutes is just so time-consuming and physically unhealthy. Gettin up, walking around every 30 min, being able to do other things than just sitting on ass and playing the same game for an hour and x minutes is just something that has been more appealing about mobas. I don't want to get up feeling like I was watching a movie in a movie theater for one game.

People then say "its better than 10 minute games". 15 - 20 min games were actually not as common as people say it is. but thats the nature of boards and just social hysteria. Everyone is going to jump on and say "well its not all like that, games wont last that long and blah blah blah". Then their sanity returns and they look at things more objectively and fairly now that they're getting their way.

I think I've had one 10 minute game in my past 50 games. I've had more 45 minute games than 10 minutes games. WAY more.

I spend more time sitting down in a single session at work, there's nothing wrong with spending an and hour or two sitting down playing two matches.

Also, the issue with the 10 minute games isn't that they're super frequent, it's that they use to be mathematically impossible, aside from some crazy 5 TP cheese strats, and even then that was just an inhib, but now it's at least common enough it's no surprising to see it happen. The fact that the game has shifted to the point of that being not nearly as large of an outlier is the problem. You had 1 in the past 50, but I had probably 2 in 5000 prior to season 6.
