Remove the chat function

Rather than effectively steal from players (no, a small-text, long-winded agreement that they don't technically own anything doesn't mean it isn't stealing) who use the chat in a way that thin-skinned players feel is incorrect while they blatantly refuse to use the mute function, the chat should not exist any more.

Especially with last patch's addition of the enemy ult ping, there is no longer anything in the game that requires chat to communicate. For the same reasons the public chat was removed, to avoid "toxicity" and spamming, the in-game chat is no longer necessary.

The lobby chat can stay, to communicate picks. But there's no reason to give players the opportunity to hurt someone's feelings if hurt feelings is all it takes to steal from them.

You can disable it already. If you dont want chat. disable it. But dont take it away from the rest of us.

You can't. You can only disable /all chat.

And no, I'm not the problem. This is to help other people. I've never been punished in the entirety of my 5 years playing the game.

You may not have been playing back when the public chat existed, so you don't see why this would be beneficial as removing that was.

It's not my problem. It's a problem for all the people who pay money and get it stolen from them because more and more 12 year olds are playing this game and reporting people they think are mean because they're coddled and lack the intelligence to understand that harassment on an anonymous platform that has no connection to a person's identity isn't possible.

I get you and I completely agree on this point. But you can't force others to "normal" players to be privated of something, I'd say almost vital, for a team-game. I like using chat when I can have fun and chill with people in game (making jokes and playing as a team at the same time), if I see someone being toxic, I'll just mute him and pretend he doesn't exist (only about the chat obviously, I'll still assist him during the game). It's up to you to act mature, you can't change kids

And I agree with your actions. That is the right thing to do. But like the public chat, simply removing the chat would be the most effective way to ensure there is no toxicity in the game at all.

so what you are telling me is that is a problem for people who think that is ok to harass others? who knew!? /mute all and all the problems will be fixed regardless of who you are. You cannot control your actions and decide to harass others then it's on those people. Their money isn't being stolen at all.

But harassment isn't possible on this platform. To think it is means you don't understand the meaning of the word. You aren't mature enough to be playing a game with this much violence if you think it is.

If you don't understand that having things stolen from you is stealing, that's on you. Not sure how to make someone understand such simple concepts.

you don't own anything in this game so nothing is being stolen from you. You are paying for rights to use stuff in the game. I am sorry but you literally own NOTHING, ZERO, NADA, NEGATIVE and every single other words possible to say the exact same thing. Go and say that Riot is stealing things from people they ban on court and see how far that will get you and how fast they will destroy your pitiful argument with next to no effort

You can absolutely harras people on this platform. The violence of the game has nothing to do with it. And no one is stealing from you, if you break the rules and get banned. You state that you should be able to harrass and insult people with no repercussions if anything that's a little naive.
