The support-item quests and following changes just all feel strange.

item 3301 I understand wanting to remove the uninteractiveness of Coin, but making champions who WANT to stay uninteractive, walk into the minion wave is pretty damn infuriating honestly. Plus the semi-randomness of the item just makes it feel bad.

The item needed a rework, not a reimagining.

Also i think the Elixir of Skill or whatever, would be more beneficial if it just gave you an amount of EXP equal to a whole level. While this does mean its also giving you stats. It still is unabusable by laners. While also removing the stangeness associated with the new item. Gaining ult at 5/10/15 and etc just feel off and unnecessary.

item 3303 Personally I hate the 6 second change deduction stacking for every minion you kill. I think it would be better if it was a refreshing 6 second CD where you cant proc any charges for minions you kill.

This would make last hitting under turret while your laner is gone much less punishing. While also being unabusable (i think) to solo laners.

item 3097 Every support ever hates when your team late game wont let you stack them. However with the recent changes coming out next patch where you have bonus attack speed and range for executable minions. It just sounds weird. Wouldnt it be better and more clear if like the executable HP scaled with teams average level or something. It just feels like that would feel better than sometimes having more range and attackspeed.

I mean i havent used it but it just SOUNDS like it would be weird.

Well, as someone who plays Support as a secondary role, I can tell you the changes are pretty dang sweet.

I always build item 3301 on Taric so I had the mana to use Q as a sustain tool. Now that "mana tokens" occasionally drop from minions I almost never have to back even against a poke-heavy support and ADC that Taric struggles against he now does phenomenal against. Not to mention he has no real problem heading into the wave to pick up the tokens since he can use his heals/shields on himself.

In the case of item 3302, I always felt that tanks (doesn't matter if it's Braum, Leona, or Sion who is completely legit as a support) don't get enough gold as a support and wind up as mediocre tanks, requiring another teamate to pick a tank or offtank to give your team balance. Now with the shield, support tanks feel a lot more viable since they just get a little extra shield which is super useful for soaking pokes.

As for item 3303... I haven't played enough mage support to tell you about that.

But with any of the new support items it gives you a good idea of when to finish upgrading them since I always either upgrade them too early or too late.

I agree that the actual rewards for said items, are pretty great. But my problem is the general clunkiness (and for reference i hate saying things are clunky) of the actual quests, as well as the strangeness of the Elixir of Skill (it just feels weird)

And while Taric. It wasnt meant for him. Old coin was good on champions that dont have the stats early to interact. Like Soraka and even a little bit Rakan . And forcing them to interact and get bullied just kinda feel mean to those champions.

It's not that bad, one of the major reasons I build item 3301 on Taric is so he doesn't have to get really close to the minions and stand around hitting them with item 3302. It just wound up getting him poked hard for a tiny bit of gold that wasn't worth it. And if you just get an ADC that plays aggressive you're generally safe to waddle a tiny bit closer to the minions.

Yeah, i do understand WHY people dont mind it. Its actually not THAT big of a problem. It just feels generally worse IMO because of the removal of the uninteractivity, MIXED with randomness, MIXED with needing them to get the full benefit of the item. THEN add the strangeness of the elixir and i just dont generally like it.

Not saying its bad, i just personally dont like how it feels anymore.

You'll get used to it.
