Why is Fiddlesticks' ult not fully canceled with displacements?
I just played a game vs a Fidd as Nautilus and I noticed that when I ulted him and knocked him up mid channel, the channel stopped, but he could just recast it after a few seconds. The wiki says that grounding him will do this and roots only stop the movement after the blink. But why can he just get a refund and a retry for everything else?
Why is it like that? Shouldn't his ult function like almost all other channel abilities and end, going on full CD if interrupted? For example, when Lux or Karthus ults they channels for a brief period and then the ult goes off. But if interrupted, they do not get the refunded CD. So why does FIddlesticks get this benefit?
