Despite what people think, junglers are more influential now than they've ever been
In high Elo, top laners don't even interact half the time. It's simply play back and wait for your jungler to gank. Any sign of lane aggression is a tip that the jungler may be there. Bot lane is basically decided by TPs or the jungler and mid lane is often just an afk farm zone and roaming center.
But the point is, junglers dominate every game. Believe it or not, the team with the better jungler almost always wins at consistent levels of play. It's because you can't reliably keep vision of a lane unless snowballing. Trinkets are down about 30-40% of the time and pink wards are easy to clear. The importance of all rift Harold and dragon also mean it's imperative a jungler is pressuring otherwise they lose control of lanes and that translates into losing control of objectives.
I feel like we need to have better vision options. I understand why green wards were removed. But even with all the wards, junglers can still gank lanes through them. But the fact is, you have very little options because it's either constantly spend 75g and drop pinks everywhere only to have them destroyed upon detection or use one of your crucial trinket charges in other areas of the map and lose lane/vision control.
It's just lame waiting for a jungler to help you in lane and as a result, very little interaction takes place and games often feel like they're beyond your control. This is especially true for top lane.
