There was a special item for Xerath

In the first moments of his rework. He could reach 20 level and it was giving him pretty damn good % magic penetration. What happen to it? I actually don't care about item, It just would be cool to see 20 level. Also themetically it fits super good. He is the most powerful ascended, and arguable the most powerful character in lore.

I hope it comes with immobile mage update.

Edit: I found it.

Chancellor's Staff (Xerath Only) •+100 Ability Power •UNIQUE Passive - Spell Piercing: Magic damage ignores 50% of the target's Magic Resist (applies before Magic Penetration). •UNIQUE Active - Mana Pulse: Releases a mana pulse that senses any nearby enemies (30 second cooldown). •Tooltip says: 'Increase spell penetration and ability power. Grants the ability to detect distant enemies.'

Emperor's Sceptre (Xerath Only) •+100 Ability Power •UNIQUE Passive - Spell Piercing: Magic damage ignores 50% of the target's Magic Resist (applies before Magic Penetration). •UNIQUE Passive - Supremacy: Xerath can now reach level 20. •UNIQUE Active - Mana Pulse: Releases a mana pulse that senses any nearby enemies (30 second cooldown). •Tooltip says: 'Xerath's ultimate weapon - himself.'

Looks pretty op.

Troll?

If you started to playing LoL in s5, yeah it looks like I'm troll. But there was something like that in the first moments of Xerath rework.

This basically gives Xerath Syndra's passives with additional damage and unbeatable reliable range and mana regen to suit it. With his own passive this means Xerath would be the most overloaded kit in the entire game, more than Yasuo and Zed combined. (Holy shit) He also would have close to no weaknesses other than no mobility. Which is nothing because he has an active to sense enemies. Then he gets another passive that amplifies his magic damage and then furthermore gives him even more penetration.

Aside from the items, him needing level 20 is likely a nerf. Because he would require level nerfs and something to assist him in getting to level 20 because if he scaled like he does now he would be 1 shotting people out of the park. I would much rather level to 18 and get my stats quicker because we all know RIot is incapable of introducing buffs without nerfs. (I was around before Xerath rework)

Then you didn't see PBE Xerath. If you had you could delete the game. His AP ratios were too high, total AP ratio was 4.21, currently is 3.53. Base damages were higher, passive had %26 magic pen (imagine with this item and void staff). So even with item, current Xerath wouldn't near to PBE Xerath.

As I said in the first comment, I don't care about item. It's op, I agree. But I just want to feel unique and powerful. His theme is about power and we only got poke pew pew pew ult. Not a weak ultimate but feels weak. So that's why I'm here. I hope they find something healthy and thematic and it feels powerful. He is currently not much different than Ziggs and Lux.

Most mages aren't unique in this game. The usually have one form of CC with a primary attack ability and then a secondary attack ability, that we all know isn't nearly as good as the primary. It isn't Xerath it is mages.

They're going to make them unique with immobile mage update. So, I was asking for it. Make Xerath unique. Make it feel powerful, make it you're playing a strong mage, rather than a like water bender.

ya it's funny, s3 xerath could 100-0 a squishy with just R lmao, shit was like 900 + 200% ap and 40% bonus magic pen

They kicked it from the game before release because they didn't like the direction. They thought him being able to put 5 points into his ult was a little too strong, plus the fact that they changed his ult from what it was going to be when they thought of it. Was a fun thought though.

What if it was 21 and you could only upgrade each basic skills for ones?

they scrapped the idea. there was a number of problems with the concept, namely stat growth in conjunction with bonus ability points created a power swing that was too great. Xerath could be behind all game and as long as he just waited them out his stat growth would cause him to out power them.

And before you say, reallocate stats, if they nerfed his earlier stuff he would ALWAYS fall behind because he didn't have enough to get through early game.

In the end they liked the direction they took him at his current state. (and honestly so do I)

Make them each cost 5k gold and maybe I won't consider it absolutely broken.
