but I can't help but notice whenever I'm matched with a team of predominantly Chinese players my ping gets absolutely destroyed to the point of making the game unplayable. I don't mind teammates speaking in Chinese because pings exist, but if I'm actually trying to connect to people in another continent and it's ruining my games, it's a problem.

The game is hosted on Riot's server. It doesn't move with differently players.

That's what I initially thought, but then why have separate servers? Does it not affect connectivity?
