I'm really sad Riot won't learn their lesson about nerfing a champion + item in the same patch.
Blade of the Ruined King - Lifesteal lowered from 15% to 12%
Lucian - Piercing Light (Q) mana cost increased from 50/55/60/65/70 to 60/70/80/90/100
Nerfing the core item that makes a champion good and the champion in the same patch. How many dozens of times has riot done this and left a champion with a 46% winrate for half a year? If you wanted to wait for botrk nerfs to decide what direction to go with Lucian, fine. If you wanted to wait for Lucian nerfs to decide what direction to go with botrk, fine. But how does it make sense to wait for 3 months when both are problematic and then nerf both in the same patch? This defeats the purpose of waiting and watching performance like Riot always claims they are doing.
On a slightly related note, why on Earth would you revert the melee/ranged differences for botrk? You're going to make it weak on the fighters that have to have it, such as Aatrox and Yi, while ADCs will just grab death's dance or bloodthirster. The different damages for melee/range was a great nerf to the oppressive 1 item powerspike ADCs without screwing up the fighters that use it, who are miraculously balanced at the moment for once. Also, you wouldn't even need to have nerfed Lucian. I feel like this was 1 step forward 2 steps back.
