A long time ago, riot said they had some changes to yorick. They didn't even went to the pbe. And they just did nothing about him since that. It was 2013.

That was a long time ago, and they probably didn't think it was up to par like they did with Skarner (which is funny considering he got reworked three(?) times overall )

That said, he's slated to have his rework hit later this year, long overdue as it may be.

Yorick is currently on the Champion Update Schedule. Considering the Mage update is before that and in the middle of the year, Yorick's rework is probably coming towards the end of the year (and I'm really hoping Halloween to coincide with his rework).
