Giving a 900 gold for a tank to auto win lane vs any ad champ that autos is not a good idea riot.

Like have you forgotten about the whole sunfire warping the meta for over an year? Why are you giving an item that rivals old sunfire in terms of power level for NINE HUNDRED GOLD...

Bramble + Tabi = lol cant do anything until you get over 7k gold worth of items (BC + DD + mr), and thats if you're palying something like riven, if you're playing an AA bruiser you just cant itemize against that at all (have fun playing something like jax or irelia against that), so just have fun with tanks kicking every other role out of top lane once again.

If this item goes live tanks will need to be nerfed once again so they are balanced around the item existing, i would rather the item just be scrapped.

You.... you DO realize that bramble vest is a counter to healing right? Its a reaction to the massively influx of drain tanking and tank itemizations sheer lack of ways to deal with sustain.

Its a counter to everything that isnt AP or tank in the top lane.

You buy 35 armor for 900 gold and get both passives for basically free, now any ad caster/assassin/bruiser cant fight you anymore, if you have a dorans shield with it you're going to take less damage per auto than they take themselfes, 20 base damage is absolutely nuts for such a cheap item that has GW to go along with it.

Hope you enjoy the full tank/occasional rumble/ap kennen meta in the top lane.

Lifesteal isnt broken, its just 1 item that needs minor nerfs (DD).

And fiora is getting hammered already.

Besides with this item going live then DD wont even be able to get nerfed because if it did then it would completely kick any AD champ that uses it out of top lane, since they are going to rely on its current power to attempt to survive the tabi + bramble incoming meta.

Draintanking is a toxic thing and tanks are, unfortunately, the only class which has 0 options to get grievous wounds right now. Every class having access to GW is a good thing. ... Also most of those champions which were listed are meant to be junglers or are juggernauts. Akali also doesnt have a focus on healing anymore and its just kind of tacked on to her kit.

Tanks are not supposed to be able to counter lifesteal.

Lifesteal is literally the tank counter, its supposed to be effective against them, all lifesteal completed items are expensive as hell (cheapest being 3400 gold)

Lets give adcs back the old steraks too by this logic since adcs also could use a item that covers up their weaknesses.

...? Lifesteal is NOT the tank counter. Crits and penetration is. Why should the glorious and infalliable marksman have multiple un-interactable "counterplays" when tanks have none? Thornmail will still be built as a large armor option and not core on everyone. Its HP stat is low enough and its GW is niche enough that it will be a highly situational buy.

Also steraks guage was meant to be a juggernaut item, not a marksman item.

One last point before i vacate this thread; ADC is the only class with damage reduction AND very powerful healing AND very high damage. ten percent of 400 is 40; 40HP/s is MASSIVE.

Tanks are supposed to be weak vs drain tanking. Now they have an item cheaper than any other item a damage champ can get to reduce healing is stupid. Also thornmail was enough to reduce the effectiveness of lifesteal. Tanks should be allowed to itemize against healing that easily? Nope thats bs. idc how many downvotes i get, but burst should be the counter to healing, not some bulky tank that does 0 damage but outdamages me anyway.

What are you talking about? Just buying armor by itself counters lifesteal. Reducing damage dealt by adc's will make them heal less as they dont want to be attacking tanks anyway. The only thing it doesnt counter is flat amount of healing or healing based on missing health which no adc has.

Executoriners gives you shit stats, if you rush it you're going to lose trades and all ins, you pay over 400 gold for the GW alone, not only that but it builds into a rather mediocre item (mortal).

On this item you get it for free, and it builds into one of the best anti AD items in the game.

I honestly predict that Bramble Vest and new Thornmail will lose their GW within the patches before Worlds.

EDIT: Especially since the items hit all moderate Lifesteal users harder than the prime offenders now - Draven, for example, will be one of the champions who will outheal Vest even through the GW debuff the easiest.

I don't understand the people who want to fucking shove tanks into the dirt and make them unplayable. There are so many damn anti tank items and abilities designed to screw over tanks. item 3075 100 armor for 2300 gold. for 400 more gold, you get less armor, slight amount of health, you do the same old passive as before but champions that go lifesteal wont negate your other passive, and it reduces auto attack speed by 15% of those hitting you. Nerf tanks = nothing wrong with that.... Buff tanks = world implodes Nerf assassins, adcs, mages: world implodes Buff assassins, adcs, mages: nothing wrong with that....
