Does it need to exist? Do we NEED to have champions that farm 24/7 and do nothing until 20mins? Every champion that jungles and uses devourer currently can do perfectly fine without it.
Just like feral flare and we all know how much of a mess that was.

Pretty much instead of tanks being more tankier when they get Cinderhulk, or assassins being able to contribute more early game with Warrior, anyone with Devourer can just 1v5 like It's nothing. It's disgusting when Kayle literally 1v5s your team while taking 0 damage or when Yi does 900 true damage to your tank in less than 1 second.

HanSolo is alive2 votesTry AP Xin zhao, 800 health every 3 auto attacks due to the double on hit from his W passive. Match that with his W active, his Q as an auto reset, the attack speed from the devourer and Nashers tooth and you'll be 1v1ing towers in no time. Oh, and he can dual just about anyone as long as he can auto them. I would also recommend taking the chilling smite as his clear is decent and you be able to slow your enemies to ensure you can auto attack them.

some times you can even build devoured as a tank, i mean, i used tank-ekko with devoured and works. having in mind it's cost-efficiency, i don't see why people would buy warrior.
Retillin1 votesYou only buy Warrior if you are in pro play and you HAVE to have a strong early game. Warrior is a better item until 18ish mins. But there is no reason the other 99+% of players unless you are playing Kha.

and than you see 
with devour and than whe have picks like 
. So it's not like devour is dominating the meta. Actualy this is the first time I have ever seen so much viable junglers. Normaly you have to pick between 1 or 2 powerpicks. Now you actualy have options in the jungle.
I fear if devour is nerfed to hard these type of junglers will disapear again resulting into limited powerpicks. My guess it will be a contest between , & . Do whe really want that gank meta back?
I think the community is overreacting just because they get 3v1'd when someone just get his sated. Just check the winrates. The junglers with the highest winrate doesn't even use devour. Offcours whe could say 
is a bug that has to be fixed.
So what devour junglers with higher winrate than 50% are left?

J Epstein3 votesYou don't have to farm 24/7. I just played a game as Devourer Yi, all my team's lanes were being bullied hard, so i skipped stacking my devourer and helped my lanes. You know what, I was behind, but I kept my team afloat. Then I was able to grab a camp here or there and we eventually won the game.

Shonjl2 votesPeople act like Devourer means your jng will afk for 20 minutes. That just means the jng is bad, not the item. Its very easy to stack as well as maintain pressure. I use Devourer WW all the time, which not only has to wait til 6 to even start ganking. I can not only get sated by the 18 minute mark with ease, but also have ganked a good 3-5 times in the process.
If the jng does just afk stack then they should at least be finishing it faster so they can wreck harder. Again if they aren't then they are a bad jng. I am sure if I ignored lanes I could probably finish it within 15 minutes or so.

bad junglers do that. It stack rather slowly. If your jungler can pressure early, secure all the dragon, the devourer isnt going to get it for a very long time. Devourer is overall fine. I think the real issue is that people pick a lot of champions that arent that good in the jungle to begin with and try to get sated. those usually are slow at doing their camp, dont have good gank for most of the lanning phase and/or are very vulnerable against counter-ganks and invades.

If the enemy jungler is really doing nothing but farming for 20 minutes and you're not winning by a landslide, your jungler is doing something wrong. If your jungler is doing nothing but farming for 20 minutes, tell them to knock it off (politely).
As for junglers doing just fine without devourer... Shyvana was playable but suboptimal with Warrior or Cidnerhulk, Yi's never been doable with anything but Devourer although the old version did him somewhat okay. Nocturne's been bad for a long time and is only barely back, Kayle hasn't been a decent jungle pick in quite a long time. Jax wasn't seriously considered a jungler before, but now he's quite formidable. This item did a lot to expand the number of options us junglers have at our disposal.
(Also, it's a bit disingenuous to say "it's just like Feral Flare and wasn't that a mess". Is Devourer a mess or isn't it? It hardly matters whether feral flare was, since this is a completely different item.)

PL551 votesIt takes a while to get devourer sated, some junglers find it worthwhile to just gank after they get to buy devourer. Kills and assists combined with a few scuttle crabs will stack up as fast as a rotation in the jungle.

CFX Jaws1 votesTo be honest this item devour is busted It can be ran on "MOST" jungle champions and the fact of the matter is it just takes away from other jungle items such as cinder hulk and warrior champions like Jax, Master Yi And Xin zhao can all perform well without the item sure but since then Master Yi and Jax have just been perma bans in low to mid elo games because the item makes the champions way to over powered a sated jax? sated yi? 2 shot any squishies and can clean up entire teams by themselves based off the combination of this item and Bork/ Rage blade please remove this item its just been such a bother and anyone who has to play against it hates it.
