Can Sona get a buff?

Like just fix something about her early game. Don't care if it's giving her mobility so that it's harder to catch her but she is still squishy if you do. Giving her durability, she is still slow but at least now "chip" damage isn't chunking her down. Giving her a hard CC outside of her ultimate, she can be slow she can be squishy but at least she has a way to protect herself and her ally that doesn't require her to wait till level 6 to be useful. Give her abilities MUCH lower costs and cooldowns, if she is going to be a spam champion late game why make her wait so long to get there? Give her abilities higher base numbers, it would be nice if i didn't need 2 late game AP items to do more then throw a fist full of feathers at the enemy or put a band-aid on a gaping wound.

Mix and match some of these. Maybe Sona gets mobility on top of lower base cooldowns and lower base mana costs. She doesn't hit hard, but she hits often which puts pressure on the enemy. Maybe Sona gets the ability to take a hit and she can stun before level 6, Sona still can't do much damage or keep her ally up... but she can sure set up kills.

Face the music of what the game has become.

I for one would love to have "chip" damage instead of this burst clown fiesta we have going.

repeatable chip damage is fine. when "chip damage" means 25-30% of your health, then we have an issue.

Look, man, how Sona FEELS doesn't reflect how Sona IS. SONA. DOESN'T. NEED. BUFFS.

Why do you feel that way? Do you feel she successfully does the "job" of a support during the laning phase? What exactly about her make you feel she is in a good place currently?

Why do you feel that way?

Statistics.

Do you feel she successfully does the "job" of a support during the laning phase?

The game isn't over in lane phase, but fuck no she doesn't.

What exactly about her make you feel she is in a good place currently?

Statistics.

Now, do I think she's well designed? NO. She needs to be VGU'd.

Do I think that, as long as she remains the way she is now, she's not too strong or too weak? Yes, so leave her alone and stop bellyaching about it. Play a different champ or beg Riot to make her kit feel less shit to play. You're upset over perception, not reality.

This annoys me because you actively admit that she doesn't do her "job" during laning phase.

Statistics are bullshit in this game. You can easily have a champion with a 55% win rate in one elo and a 40% win rate in another. is the champion balanced? One statistic says they need to be nerfed hard, another says they are under preforming so much they need serious buffs, even the middle ground implies they are doing poorly and could maybe use so minor tweaks.

Also one of the big points i was trying to make was simply "she feels like shit to play for the first 20-ish mins" doesn't mean she can't help win games. Just means the player is going to hate playing while winning.

No one cares.

On top of that, I said "She doesn't do the job of a support during laning". I did NOT say "She doesn't do HER JOB". What's "Sona's job"? Scaling. Scaling really hard, using your ult and hitting a good number of people with it, and then spamming W until the deed is done. That she does with flying colors.

Sure, but Sona's stats don't indicate any of this. She has a small user base in comparison to more popular champions, but her win rates are healthy even when filtered for Diamond on Lolalytics. There is no major issue with Sona's balancing.

This isn't something that's fixed and fixed well by straight buffing the champion, so stop asking for buffs.

Winrate is important, and if a "champion has a high winrate in one, low in another", they fix it by:

-making the champions kit a bit easier or harder combos to pull off while also keeping their core mechanics the same to learn (see Azir, Xin zhao, Sejuani, Katarina) -They nerf what causes the extremely high winrate and often compensate by making the champion slightly harder to kill (extra hp, extra regen, extra ms, etc)

Usually these champs are perfectly fine, but their advanced kits are the cause of their low winrate in lower elos and high winrate in higher ones, you won't see a single Aurelion main with 100's of aurelion wins with a winrate under 50%, but he has a low winrate in bronze. Same with azir, ryze,....

The opposite is often true with mechanically simple to play champions like Master yi and the like as their kits are really easy to understand, and thus extremely easy to predict.

It is rarely a issue with balance in such cases.

Sona is fine atm, as i said, btw

ADC Kayle players are lacking as well and yet she has the second highest win rate.

Sona is fine atm. She does reliable poke damage early-game (assuming you're not facing a vlad/fiddle or something, i'll burn a candle for you if you are), you should be fine if you try to Q+basic attack whenever the opportunity arises, it'll get you enough gold to either become a shield-heal machine that gives your entire team a quite beefy shield in teamfights, as well as attack speed, extra damage on their basics, a full, teamwide stun with quite some burst and a lot of mobility for your team+ the ability to completely nerf one champions damage, slow them by alot while boosting your teams speed or doing a big chunk of damage (don't underestimate semi- AP sona man, her burst is insane with Ludens-lichbane)

Sona main myself says NO TO BUFF! she is acquired taste of a champion. In fact go play her Dark Harvest and see how she can shred her enemies. She is bad and horrible in early but get item 3096 thenitem 3003 thenitem 3020 thenitem 3100 and see what she can do

i would just like it if she didn't need 2 end game items to not be bad. like if i could say go damage without having to build tear first and not go OOM in 30-ish seconds. or if i could go healing and again not have to build a tear to prevent OOM.

It would be nice if her heal didn't need to be at rank 3 or higher to have a positive base heal to mana cost ratio.

but the thing i would love is to actually know, "what is her tipping point" because i tend to always hit it at the same time.... level 11, 45% CDR, and 200+ AP. I don't know if it's her getting to 45% cdr from items that make her strong.... I don't know if it's the fact that she gets up to 56% CDR with the second level of her ultimate passive.... i don't know if it's the fact that you finally hit a point where your AP actually matters when accounting for damage/healing. But i swear that most of the time she simply doesn't do enough till you hit this weird tipping point where she goes from not great to freaking insane.

I'd rather the least skillful champion in the entire game... wasn't.. made meta.

Hopefully we eventually get back to a thresh/bard meta

i didn't say meta. i just want her to be a not terrible champion for the first 15-ish mins.
