AP Nasus honestly isn't that bad

Especially after the buffs to Liandrys and rylais, which make his damage pretty silly. You will likey lose out on Q farm but you'll still be building CDR via Athenes and Ionian boots. His sieging gets pretty silly with a low CD AOE nuke that's impossible to miss and he's very good in lane as AP since he can push and harass at the same time.

This is the build I'm working on right now, feel free to offer anything up.

Build is pretty squishy would take out lich bane for like death cap hourglass or void staff I don't see anyone getting away with auto's off with a squishy melee build unless you are doing split pushing than ya go ahead.

It's more about sieging than it is team-fighting, you kinda wanna avoid teamfighting with a build like this. Now if I wanted a more bruiser like build, I'd take out lich bane entirely and go Sunfire Cape. Less Q damage but more AoE burn.

Could also do something like

RoA, Ionian boots, Rylais, Liandrys, Frozen Heart and Abyssal for more of a bruiser build

Would certainly take out the need to rush Mana Regen and leave you significantly more durable

I like getting 500 stacks at 20 mins though q.q

The only thing that stops me playing AP Nasus is just wanting as much stacks as possible.

Except you have the same problems of "being Nasus" and that is being focused, kited and killed like that. Plus when it comes down to it he can't 100 to 0 people. His AP E is great but the rest of his kit is obviously not meant for him to be a mage.

My favorite build...

Starting Items: item 1056 item 2003 item 3340

Core Items: item 3174 item 3158 item 3116 item 3157

Offense: item 3151 item 3001 item 3089

Defense: item 3068 item 3060 item 3083

So I'm sure right now you're asking, "Why is item 3157 core? Where is the item 3057 ? Who let the dogs out?"

Nasus 's ult does 3%/4%/5% + 1% per 100 AP capped at 240 magic damage every second for 15 seconds. Your ult continues to damage through the item 3157 active. If you combine that with Rylai's slow and 300/450/600 bonus health plus your resistances, you can stick to your target or bait with your active effect to get the maximum burn in teamfights. A full Nasus ult does a maximum of 45%/60%/75% + 15% per 100 AP capped at 3600 magic damage, and this is what makes AP Doge secret OP. (This is the same reason why you want item 3001 )

Nasus has a historically abysmal early game, only able to safely CS when his lifesteal, potions, or items sustain him through enemy damage. Building AP allows you to safely CS while shoving with no personal risk. Therefore, I recommend you don't even put a point in Q until forced to, getting more slow from your W instead. If you are in range to autoattack, you should be ulting or running away, so buying a sheen can almost bait you into feeling like you need to get close to a minion wave you could easily evaporate with an E.

I don't know who let the dogs out, try asking the Baja Men.
