The Last Champion Released

Who was the last champion released who actually stuck in the meta and is played a decent amount? Was it Jhin? And then before Jhin I'm gonna say Ekko was the next champion to actually make a mark. That makes 2/9 champions (Ivern, Kled, Taliya, Aurelion Sol, Jhin, Illinois, Kindred, Tahm, Ekko) that is still continuously played. I just feel like the current champions released have just been a hit or miss and the hype for them dies within a week (A Sol) or even a couple days (Ivern) after release. I just feel like this game is really going to start losing lots of players if their steady content is only FOTM for like a week and then people go back the the "meta".

most of them were/are played pretty often in pro play and are also good picks when you master them.

TahmKench Kindred Taliyah were in the meta for quite sometime (especially in tahm's case) metas are suppose to change it isnt a suppose to be a stagnant board of the same thing always being good (although some champs never fall far from viable)

its not like because these champs arent A or S tier champs with in the meta doesnt mean they are bad or unviable

kindred and tahm are still being played atleast in mid-high elo games

there was a time i thought thresh wouldnt ever be pick/ban in games and now you hardly see him the game evolves adapt and move on

They might suddenly be all the rage next year. You'll never know.
