You don't see them very often, but when you do come across one, they will let you know immediately they are a Riven main, and will usually insist that there is not a better choice to pick.

I ban out Riven because she ruins our comp. We already have Lee Sin JG, Yasuo Mid, and an ADC. GTFO with Riven top. I'd ban the Yas too but enemy is likely to do that for me XD.

I'd rather lose, and get someone tilted as fuck so they flame and can be banned, than play normally and take a loss cause of champ select. At least getting someone banned is fun.

If you have a Riven main on the team, how about your MID LANER, the one that SHOULD be going AP any f--king ways, go AP. If you're a mid lane main and you only have AD champs, considering switching your primary role. You're the detriment to the team, not the top laner. Because MOST top lanes are either AD or Tank.

There's literally only 3 AD mid champs -- Yasuo, Zed and Talon. Yasuo is even more multi-dimensional now being taken top lane, so he isn't even solely a mid laner anymore -- leaving only Zed and Talon as the true mid lane champs of mid lane.

To be honest your jungler should help her in that lane, if she gets ahead with a gank she can steamroll renekton.

As a renek main. I can assure you if the renekton is at all competent he should be able to trade 1 for 1 in any gank provided he plays lvl 1-3 well. And post 6 he can either blow up the riven from the get go or get an easy double if the JG decides to come. In nearly 150+ games on renek I've never once gotten "steamrolled" by a riven, his kit simply does way too much burst and healing for her to retaliate

A gank? If the Renekton is competent you need at least 3 before Riven stands a chance, and if she messes up once he still beats her.

His kit just overwhelms hers in lane. Even if you get a jungler to camp enough to get the Riven snowballing, he's basically wasted the first 6-10 minutes of the game doing nothing but going top to gank someone who falls off lategame anyway.

Riven gets shit on early game in the matchup until lvl 11 and BC, however if she gets 1 early kill/lead with the help of a gank she can start killing renekton at 6 and snowball super hard.

i mean i've seen riven mains beat literally everyone. Their skill matters not the pick. If they are bad they will feed on another champion they don't want to play anyway

Don't go ham on her at the early game. Always focus at lv 1 to make graves, until lv 2. then turtle her and make your ghouls do the dirty work. Grasp and your Q's heal adds up nicely so use that if she is trying to trade with you. if you can trap her and use your ghouls to attack her you can chuck a lot of damage of her even with her shield up. Riven is a very binary champ and needs an early advantage, so if she can't snowball, she is screwed.

Hi I'm a Diamond 1, Let me play riven top or I will take Ivern with smite and take your camps~ though really if it's what they enjoy who's to blame them. When you see a teemo being played there's a pretty good chance it's because he mains teemo.

I use to go Sona into Riven when I played TOP before her changes made her less playable as a solo laner. Poke for days, heal every trade, use E to escape, ult any tower dive. Good times.

Until u get spanked in lane and they go around slaughtering your whole team whiles you try to play catch up. I love seeing Nasus's. I stop your mid game spike and all you have left is your late game -- if you even get to it.

I would take Renekton over Teemo/Kaylee/Kennen any day.

You can still farm against him and freeze lane. Most Renekton don't take Cotc either.

Normaly you would be correct if this were almost any other champion, but Riven is one of those few champions who has no AP scaling on any of her abilities, so it basically would be trolling by intentionally feeding.

Sorry it wasn't very clear; in my little role-play the riven player picked something else, then fed because she didn't know how to play the champion.

It's really too bad how often this happens. A duo wanted to play bot/support together today, so I took jungle to avoid them trolling.

They then reported me for not playing very well. Why did I even bother? I should've dodged the game entirely the moment they wanted to switch roles.

ah, I get what you mean. yeah that happens to me too a lot. usually I don't swap unless it is to my secondary role or they have really good win rates
