New Rift Harold

So I heard about the new Rift Harold changes, and few a concerning thoughts occurred.

> 1. Wouldn't this just make a team who is, or is near, snowballing more or less unstoppable for a long time? If I am already behind (for whatever the reason maybe) and the enemy grabs this, it basically means that I just lost all lane towers. And since you likely need at least 2 or 3 champions to kill this guy in a decently short time, that leaves other lanes open to siege while their defending champion is killing Rift Harold.

> 2. Does the damage it deals get effected by the Mountain/Elder buff (I doubt it does, but still curious)?

> 3. Is it effected by champion ability buffs/debuffs (such as Galio ult as an ally target, Lulu W polymorph/ bonus attack speed, Janna W shield and bonus AD / E movement speed passive, and Taric full kit more or less)?

> 4. Is it effected by items (such as item 3107 heal/damage, item 3190 shield, and item 3060 buff)?

> 5. Can champions like Syndra and TahmKench capture it and throw it elsewhere?

> 6. Because this is a concern worthy of its own number, can Kindred keep it alive with their ult? Because if so, this would just mean that Rift Harold can get and extra 3-4 hits towards the tower without anything the enemy can do about it. If this is the case, could making towers be affected by the ult too be something to consider in the future?

> 7. Does it grant stacks for Sion, can it be a mark for Kindred and will it drop a soul for Thresh? And if so, will it be able to do it again after it is initially slain and then placed?

If I recall correctly, Rift Herald is now effected by CC, so that means stuns should be effective against her. I would guess that a Naut, Thresh and Blitz Q can grab her and snatch her.

I think the debuff Lulu has with Polymorph says champions specifically so no. Your guess is as good as mine with Syndra's W. I hope so. Tahm... probably not.

Yes, she is effected with items like Redemption. She is a neutral monster.

Yes it is still a stack for Sion, it can give souls to Thresh but for Kindred... I think the stacks are specifically enemy jungle camps and the skuttles. I do not think so with Kindred. But her ult can and will keep Herald alive and heal.

EDIT:

First, she no longer has an interest in fighting champions. While this means she doesn’t hit back (careful for AoE damage, though) it also means you won’t be able to deter her from her demolition work. Second, summoning sickness has left her vulnerable to crowd control. Everything from Dark Binding to Howling Gale to Headbutt will do the job of keeping her off your stuff. Finally, Herald’s damage in lane is directly tied to her health. Take every opportunity you can to whittle her down.

Seeing Headbutt (Alistar) works against her, I'd guess most champs CC can work. It actually would be funny to see Tahm eat her though. Knock-ups will work. Now if Yasuo can ult her I doubt. I think unless the ability says an enemy champion specifically, it will work on her.

Well then it looks like a protect the Rift Harold comps could become popular. Alistar can heal minions so maybe he can heal her too lol.

We will see. If she is treated like an Ally as such, maybe. We will see when Mid season comes along and someone plays Alistar. Good notice. Not that it matters much since it is his passive and not his active ability but still we will see. (I am surprise I am the only person to comment on this board. Hmm)
