This game isn't fun because no one does anything about trolls

This game is too unregulated to be fun any longer. And it's sad to say that because I honestly loved this game but it's become too much to take. I actually uninstalled the game last week because I was so frustrated by the fact that two jerks can duo and ruin a lot of peoples time, effort, and honestly - since this is a game - their escape from IRL problems. I jumped back in after a week off largely because I promised someone I'd give them a skin for duo'ing. (They had already been given it by a friend in the meantime ironically).

I have no evidence in my experience that suggests Riot does anything to the people who attempt to ruin the game. After years of being told that "if you're good enough, you'll carry yourself out of bronze." This season I finally buried my pride and got some coaching, I played a champ that could carry (not one that I enjoyed), and I left the support role despite loving it. I want to say this again because people seem to think this is normal - in a game I play to enjoy myself and escape from reality for a bit, I did something I didn't enjoy because I wanted to push myself. I managed to claw myself up to a 78% winrate with J4 in the top lane and I felt like maybe the people on the forums weren't full of shit when they said "if you're good you can climb"

Tonight I had 2 games. The first game was a 43 to 13 stomp. I was fine with this initially because I thought "well sometimes they throw you these dud matches, but the next one will be a little more balanced." Since it wasn't, I'm going to say my peace about it - it's not acceptable, in ranked, to allow people to continue to play this cluelessly. One guy died once every 2 minutes when you factor in the first two mins and his total death time. People came to lanes and fed, they ran from fights, suggested "guys, 3 tanks is how you win" while not picking a tank, and others ran from clean-up fights because they had low rates of play on the champs. In ranked. Riot finds this acceptable which I suppose isn't surprising from a company that would run ads saying "go newbs!" rather than, i don't know, putting in any sort of tutorial.

The second match killed me. Jungle doesn't take smite - honestly I've done it so it's fine. Then he comes to my lane, takes farm. Rather than encourage the troll, I mute him. The teemo /allchat ? I say "he's trolling" and leave it at that. He then goes to other lanes, steals CS, and flame other players. When they start verbally attacking them, he and his duo buddy - which I'm seeing now in the match history - flame them and in /allchat say "report this [CHAMP], shes inting." While I'm waiting for laner to return, I check op.gg on this guy - he's Silver 5. A full bracket higher than the bulk of the squad. Either he's lowering his ELO to play with his friend, or he's just acting out because he didn't get duolane with his partner. Either way, two loses tonight for what? Was I not good enough to carry that?

It's inexcusable to allow the state of the game to go on like this. And if you can't understand that, I don't know what I can do for you. But I'm not spending money here going forward. I'd be mad, but I can't be mad anymore. I'm old enough to know that sometimes relationships just grow apart. And I'm sad to say I feel like we did, LoL. I really wish it wasn't this way, but I don't know what more I can do to fix things.
