Giving the Doge viability in a short game/rush-to-win meta

I have noticed Nasus has been in a horrible position since even before the pre-season especially given his basic non-presence in LCS and even worse in Diamond bracket ranked.

The shortened games have multiplied this and made Nasus a very bad pick. There is a simple way to fix this;

Siphoning Strike now gains 4 points of damage after successfully slaying a minion and 8 for a large monster/champion (Up from 3/6 respectively)

This would make a big difference and allow Nasus to be viable in a meta that is firmly against his type.

Ever thought that maybe Riot doesn't want Nasus to be viable? He's not exactly healthy for the game as his design promotes a non-interaction laning phase before becoming extremely tanky and twoshotting people with no mechanical skill required.

It's binary, you either stack up before your team loses the game at which point you just endlessly splitpush and nobody can deal with you or the enemy toplaner uses his early advantage to make TP plays and win the game before you can get to that point. It's worse than a classic hypercarry because his tanky build path and passive sustain basically encourage you to completely ignore your lane opponent.

Nasus is already viable.

His mid-game is significantly stronger compared to many champions than his late-game is. His late-game isn't necessarily bad, but by that point people have had a chance to itemize penetration, to build defensive item(s), and can kite him in proper teamfights.

If you get 400 stacks and Sheen by 20-25 minutes, you will chunk everyone except armor-stacking tanks.

Considering how strong he already is, I'd rather not see him receive a buff such as this followed immediately by horrible nerfs.

Why should nasus be strong in a meta that contradicts what he's all about?

Late game champions shouldn't be strong in a meta that more often then not, doesn't have a late game

Zed LeeSin Riven got buffs for that very reason.

This is kinda weird because for some reason after preseason I have seen Nasus win lane in every game they play with 4 kills
