Iceborn Gauntlet Unique Passive - Spellblade lowered to 100% of base AD from 125%
Or you could.... you know.... MAKE IT MELEE ONLY? Stop nerfing items over and over because of ezreal.

It's being nerfed because of Nautlius/Poppy/Ekko/{insert top lane fighter/tank}.
Ezreal has nothing to do with it.

People who don't buy ad and can't spam shit from 1k of range? Sorry, no sense to me.

Buying AD isn't relevant for Iceborn. It only works on base AD. I can buy as much AD as I please and it won't do a lick of good for making Iceborn stronger. All those champions are using it very well, and they're the ones getting it nerfed.
In that case, they would be nerfing
.
Good idea.
If they were to also reduce the slow to 25% while nudging the AoE radius to 150 (+80%), tanks would (justifiably) benefit and exploiters would suffer.
This seems like an across the board intended nerf to make people get Trinity if they want damage and IBG if they want the utility. By all means though it is not going to be a bad item, just a more proper trade off in picking it instead of Trinity.
This isn't because of Ezreal. They're nerfing it because of how top laners are using it. The whole "sunfire iceborn" thing is getting to be a bit of a problem in high level games, and a big part of the problem is how much damage this itemization grants them without compromising tank stats. I guarantee you, Ezreal is not the primary target here.

They kind need the damage since tank stats were nerfed pre season to the point where adc's melt tanks.
tank stats were nerfed pre season
Actually, tank items were not nerfed preseason. MR items were buffed and armor items with the exception of Deadman's Plate and Frozen Heart were also slightly buffed over the course of the preseason and season 6 (sunfire for example got buffs in 5.22, 6.1, and 6.3, and Iceborn was buffed for tanks in 5.22). That's a large part of why we're seeing tanks as such a dominant class right now.
They kind need the damage
Not to the degree that they have right now. In high elo, almost every good top laner is a tank, and the best team comps are the ones that stack the most tanks. It's becoming an issue, and with the nerfs to the outlier top laners like Quinn and Trundle that dealt well with tanks, they're dominating their competition. It's not an exaggeration to say that tanks are the single strongest class in high elo solo queue, and they're the ones driving the metagame there. You either play a tank, or you play a champion specifically designed to counter a tank. Because of that, they need to be taken down a little. On top of that, the rush items for virtually every game are Sunfire and Iceborn, possibly with a small amount of MR as needed. Given that tank itemization should be more responsive than that, it's a pretty clear place to start with small nerfs.
Just to reiterate the earlier point, this is the context for the nerfs. Tanks have been complained about enough that they have nerfs targeted at them, and Ezreal is just collateral damage.
I really hope they buff
to compensate. Iceborn is currently one of his core items, and this could make him fall behind in a bad way, especially since he isn't overly strong at all atm.
Is my bigger worry because he is falling behind each patch, with this nerf, his damage is almost the lowest of all the jungles, let's check this:
