@Riot, please save Nidalee

Nidalee has been nerfed around SotA and Rylai's for too long. It was foreseeable that removing SotA would crush Nidalee's consistency, but she remained a decent pick in certain senarios because she could take advantage of the utility that Rylai's offered her.

Now that Rylai's is no longer a viable purchase for Nid, she needs to find utility in other items to allow for those clean picks in group fights.

I am scared not because Nidalee is now somewhat underperforming (I would prefer this over the opposite), I am scared because of the discussion around the new meta Nid builds.

Rylai's was almost too perfect an item for Nidalee. Her ability to make picks was shared between the health, the ap, and the slowing passive. With the changes, players have ditched the item and are now opting for items with heavier tank stats. This means RoA, Zhonya's, Abyssal and Spirit Visage.

I believe an assassin should never rely on tank stats to survive risky dives. Timing and positioning should be the priority here. You should expect to perish after making a play that is not executed perfectly, or does not take proper advantage of an enemy's mistake.

If this tankier rendition of Nidalee becomes a thing, the initiator thought process will become rudimentary. I don't want this type of gameplay to become characteristic of Nidalee's playstyle. I can not bring myself to play a tank Nidalee. Please make sure assassins like Nidalee have the squishy builds as their most effective builds.
