I just find it funny that ADC's can go into any lane / jg and no one bats an eye, yet if a top laner were to go bot (old mord / blitz meta) people freak out.

Vayne is cancer bot lane.

But she is NOT played as much as people think top. less than 10% of Vayne games have Vayne top. and of those 10% of games, she has a 44% win rate.

So clearly she isnt that much of a problem top lane.

This. The biggest issue with Vayne top is that some junglers wont gank that lane. Even though it's easy to gank, and the top laner will most times be shoved into turret.

No, seriously. Just try to play her into Pantheon. It doesn't matter which jungler camps that lane (unless the enemy mid and the enemy jungler start roaming up), Pantheon is going to dominate as soon as the Vayne is alone for even 10 seconds. Vayne's pathetically squishy, and unable to avoid Pantheon's damage.

Vayne also isn't doing jack shit against Wukong, either, especially once he hits 6.

And then Nasus is going to win as well, if he has ghost. Sure, Vayne could get QSS, but that's a 90s CD, and as a first rush would completely screw her over. Vayne's E and Q won't matter much, either.

And, of course, you could just pick Teemo.

Idk im currently banned but on my smurf out of 10 games i played 5 against vayne. I'm also only playing with other smurfs ranging from low dia to low master and have up to 10 mins Q time. So yeah vayne has no counterplay for melees which has always been an issue. Vayne alone thank god doesnt win games by herself but its still a miserable experience.

And that said, I would fight vayne 100 times out of 100 as melee instead of fighting a Heimerdinger top.

Exactly. Vayne top tends to feed or make your comp garbage. I ban her for bot lane reasons.

I want to ban stuff like Teemo or Gnar who are just annoying to lane against, or Udyr or Graves who like to camp top, but my ban lately has been 100% Vayne. I'm a Garen main who has faced all sorts of ranged nonsense up in top lane, but so far Vayne is the only one I can't seem to find some amount of success against.

Sounds to me like you just need to play different champions.

Just play Pantheon or Nasus into Vayne. It's essentially an instant win. Just don't, you know, let Vayne sit there and auto you as Nasus without retaliating.

Different champions help, and I do play Nasus, but I'm the kind of guy who will play Garen into anything until I find a way to make it work, which either ends up being successful or frustrates the hell out of me to no end.

Give me a break, I'm a Kennen main and he's garbage right now. I mean, not in the sense of laning against him, but outside of the laning phase he's utter trash. The second you hit your ult all you need to do to die is get hit by a Xayah E and you're instantly dead, or the entire enemy team is AD and all of them build Hexdrinker and have Nullifying Orb.

I would complain about Teemo too but he actually has a purpose outside of the laning phase, everyone else howerver is indeed horrifying to play against.

You pick kennen to make the enemy useless. Thats the issue with kennen and he is far from garbage. Okay maybe with the new runes im still in s7 mode. doesn't change the fact that kennen is just a cockblock who is still useful for his team even when dealing zero dmg simply by chain stunning entire teams and preventing the enemy top from being useful.

Did you even read my post, since when does Nullifying Orb exist in S7? And are you saying he beats every top laner right now? Because that's entirely false, NO MATCH UP AT THIS VERY MOMENT is in his favor.

Want range against range? Pick Jayce and he can turret dive you while just having item 3134 Want to turret dive the other direction while also having 2000 health at level 4? No problem Kayn You can put anything in the top lane and by out poking him since he lacks any sustain it's almost equivalent to laning against Ezreal but worse, except Ezreal can actually protect himself.

Any ranged top laner is just pure BS to deal with.

That's the bottomline issue of top lane atm. I don't like laning against someone like Teemo when I'm playing someone like Shen.

this is way worse than top, at least the melees usually outscale him anyways

even with Jayce Gnar Quinn they can counter build

with Vayne those poor tanks are screwed

but she'll still just build attack speed and kill most of them

You lose the lane, sure. Then you win the game because they don't have a tank for teamfights and peel.

They bully all melee champs, which is cancerous. Gnar, Teemo, Panth, and Jayce are basically on there too.

Don't feel sorry. On paper she looks scary. In practise she tends to get bullied around by a LOT of toplaners due to her poor early game. Toplaners tend to either get tanky really fast if they can build specifically or out damage / scale her (or both) really quickly.

On loading screen I was like Gulp 10 minutes later I was about 4 kills in and 30 farm ahead.

If you let her get late game, then yea...she's scary, but before that you can trample her face into the mud. Especially if the jungler shows up.
