No real diversity in build paths

Hi all

I dont know but I feel like riot doesn't really support any build path other than the recommended list (meta). The moment you get creative and step out of it with just even a little success, riot nerfs it.

Take AD fizz for example. They removed the 20% amplification for physical damage on his ult.

Runeglaive ap ez. Riot first said they like to see innovation. But later destoyed runeglaive ensure it is not used in lane.

Crit Runeglaive ap GP. RIP Crit Runeglaive ap MF. RIP Crit Runeglaive ap Yas. There was some potential.

AP GP. Whats the point of farming your ult if you can't even use your barrels to help farm quicker?

Ap Tristana.

AP Mf. Heard that was once a thing.

AP Lucian. Has only 2 ap skills, but nerfed the ult so hard that it is practically useless.

Ap varus is strong but extremely weak early game and not viable. Sated ap varus is even stronger, but varus cannot jg well.

Ap Yi, was op, intead of balancing it, they destroyed it.

Ap tryn, Nerfed.

Most of those builds were not op yet they got nerfed.

I enjoy diverse builds, but riot doesn't see to really support it. If anyone has more examples let me know.

I'd say its a split issue, some alternate build paths were just stupid to the point of infuriating people (looking at you AD tank fizz). Others are relatively fine, did they ever say WHY they nerfed AP trist anyway?

When did they nerf AP MF / AP Varus? And dont say AP Trynda was not OP before the nerf, a free 1500 heal on a relatively low cooldown and nice AoE damage. Same for AP Lucian, with a 11000 damage ult. AP Trist is still possible, yet she plays very different from the old one.
