Probably going to get downvoted for saying this but: Is Duskblade even doing anything?

So far in the games where it has been built, that champion doesn't do any more damage than they normally would have, its almost as if it either doesn't do any damage or wasn't even needed in the first place. Seriously, the assassins that have bought it are not erasing people quicker like i thought they would, the item pretty much isn't doing anything. If they were going to kill them anyways, Duskblade is useless, if they weren't going to kill them then they probably still wont because for whatever reason Duskblade's damage is just not there.

I'm not saying its not doing its damage, because I am fairly certain it is, but so far i have yet to see it actually kill someone. Basically what happen is the assassin kills the target without Duskblade activating or the Assassin fails to kill and Duskblade doesn't help. I think i was killed once by Duskblade because I had like 5 hp, but Talon's Q would have got me anyways so I don't count it.

I know people are raging at it and the imbalance it creates but is anyone else noticing its lack of presence? I can't be the only one who is noticing that its effect is super minimal... Oh and FYI I don't play Assassins normally, and have yet to play Talon (the only AD Assassin I play) this season so I am not complaining or anything.

I used it on Pantheon and it made him feel more effective as the game went on. So that's a plus.

That is good then, he falls off so hard late game so if you can't end the game before than its basically a 4.5 v 5.

Yea he has such an overwhelming early game and decent mid game, but a terrible late game. Its not good game health. Plus his kit is just so binary and lacking in significant counterplay, what counterplay there is to him absolutely shuts him down.

From my experience, the passive isn't why you actually buy the item. It's the stats that matter. It gives a shitton of AD, armor pen, and movespeed. Who doesn't like that?

Yea its stats are really good, the passive just seems kind of meh.

yeah, they seem to know that. I think the passive is intended to be more of a comeback mechanic than anything; it gives some extra burst for assassins who find themselves slightly behind in the game. If they're ahead, honestly, most of them wouldn't want the passive, but the stats are still good of course.

i think its very situation, do they have 2/3 tanks and you wanna actually kill somebody as a fighter/assassin? get it not to mention its amazing on pantheon/shaco (srsly tho shaco's clone can proc that shit so u can do it twice)

his clone does proc on hit effects and since the new item has one wellllll yea :v they must have not thought of that

I am top 5 Zed EUW and said that this item on most AD assassns is a waste of gold and just sucks from a design point. This item is much better on certain fighter champions, like Jarvan, Pantheon etc. Of course people downvoted me, but now they see I was right and they were wrong.

I used it on akali just cause she's the only assassin I like, I did notice an increase in aa but the effect itself I didn't really notice cause she scales better with AP so on HER other than aa damage I didn't notice the effect damage at all.

Akali'E scales with AD as well as AP and it does physical damage. So it's not only her auto attacks that get a boost.

True forgot that part, but the burst from her Q made it hard to tell lol. I might do a custom bot match to crunch some numbers with it...other than Yi she's my only other assassin.

Whoa whoa whoa hold on......So you guys were bitching and moaning about how overpowered this item would be when it was announced and now that its here, you guys are now crying about how useless it feels ? And you wonder why Riot doesn't generally take this board seriously. You people really need to learn to be consistent with your complaints.

And btw, the item gives armor pen. Its not a stat to take lightly. I'd buy it just for that. The passive would just be a nice bonus.

Well first go ahead and show me where i complained about it being too OP, i don't remember complaining but i might have said something about it, my opinion does tend to sway.

Second show me where I am crying... I believe i said the activation doesn't add much to an Assassins combo, the stats of the item are good enough to buy just for that though so the item itself is not useless. I was also asking if anyone else was noticing this or if it was just me. I was also specifically talking about Assassins because their burst is either enough to kill or it isnt and Duskblade's passive doesn't make a difference in that.

Actually, I wasn't talking about you as an individual, you're not really so special, sorry. I'm talking about the numerous threads made in weeks past where everyone was singing songs of doom when this item was announced.

I've been buying on Kha.

.. Kind of weird, honestly. It's hard to use it where I want to, there's too many situations where I'm forced to use to AA a specific target, wasting the actual passive. Personally I wish it was a toggle or active like Titanic Hydra, shave a bit off the top to compensate if that's an issue. Alternatively, cut the cooldown in half but make it half as powerful (pull a few levers here and there if needed) so that you don't have to wait 2 minutes because god forbid you accidentally AA'd their full hp Cho'Gath.

But even though the passive rarely helps, I'm comfortable buying it just for the states. Gives Kha everything he could possibly want sans CDR.

i think the issue I have is that with only a shaco and a yorick, you can get four procs off while only building two duskblades on the entire team. it's kind of disgusting.
