Fuck ranked.

I think I've had enough ranked for a month in 3 games. Every time I play ranked, I just want a more balanced games than normals gives. You know what I get? Khazix supports, AFKs, and junglers with 77 farm at 35 minutes into the game. I get literally the worst players I have played with in months (and I get matched with under 30s in normals semi-regularly). I get cheesed at level 1 by a fucking kog'maw+taric, and I get insulted by a Xin Zhao that decides to dive into a Heimerdinger ultimate. 6 times. I get to lose when I'm by far the best player in the game on either side, and I only get to win if it's just unbalanced.

Why can't Ranked be fun?

Because putting five random people with different mindsets, opinions, and thought processes together and telling them to play nice normally don't turn out well.

Believe it or not, MOST players don't troll 24/7 and the system doesn't punish you the first time you troll, afk, rage, flame etc. Let's be honest, everyone has, and don't even try and act all high and mighty and say you haven't. Removing the every troll is literally impossible because you basically said what amounts to remove the trolls from the internet. You can mitigate them, but removing trolling is quite literally in every sense of the word impossible because even people who are normally the nicest people ever can eventually snap. They go on losing streaks, they have bad days, or just SOMETHING bad happened whatever. That being said, if you can think of a way to remove every troll from the game ever that is both practical and possible, I'm all ears.

We all have it, solo queue does suck and is more luck based then skill based. You can either grit your teeth and deal with it, or not play the mode, honestly not worth it to be honest.

By your logic, they shouldn't try to punish verbal abuse since it is impossible to punish all accounts of verbal abuse.

You have a teammate in ranked that autolocks top even though top lane is already selected, boom perma ban. Make it so you need 10 normal wins with a champion, at least, in order to play them ranked. Someone intentionally feeds, boom perma ban.

I don't care if you had a bad day or a losing streak, doing something like this deserves punishment.

Not what I said, I said first time affenders don't get permabanned, that isn't even a thing in irl. You don't go to prison for your first minor offense (normally)

Anyway, take a break. People do stupid things all the time, especially when there's no real repercussions like in video games. But I generally find, if you get ONE horrible game, stop playing straight away (even if you win). The rage from one game will carry on into other games and you'll lose more and more.

Probably. It's one thing being a late game monster, but your slow, waddling ass needs to be able to survive early and mid game first.

How is Ranked supposed to give you better matches if you cannot give it the proper data.

The reason Normals seem more matched to your skill level is because normal MMR has literally 100's more games played.

EX:

My normal draft Win/Loss are 450/409. (+/- 5 games)

My Ranked Win/Loss are 5/7.

Which one is a better determinate of my skill?

Ranked doesn't give you the Rank you want, you have to prove to it that you are the Ranking you want.

Flat number of games doesn't matter once your win rate stabilizes. I have had a 50% win ratio since February. You can look at my lolking. I had a nice little spike just after the reset because I hadn't played enough games, and then I stabilized around 810 MMR and haven't changed since.

Obviously, but it may take a large amount of games to stabilize the W/L ratio. My point was that unless you have 200+ games played in Ranked, you shouldn't expect the system to be able to accurately judge your skill level.

Lolking and sites like that give you an inaccurate picture of your MMR because they can only see your Win/Loss Ratio. Your MMR is also determined by the order in which those wins/losses are achieved.

It is bronze V ya know? My advice is to duo queue so your chances of carrying games are doubled.

I just queued up ranked with a bronze v friend and we were playing low elo. He dc's but it doesn't matter because the skill level of the opponents were on par with bots. Needless to say it was an easy game.

Work on mechanics, warding, awareness, and most importantly carry your games.
