is the new jungle too hard, or does the meta just need to change?

I'm not suggesting to change which champions are practical, the whole point of the jungle was to make more competition in the jungle.

Meta suggestion: Regardless of side, mid throws 1 skillshot at gromp/krugs, adc/top (whoever is on side) gives a skill and 3 autos, support always does a hard leash, leaving shortly before smite can kill it. Support moves to wolves/raptors and starts the Camp, jungler comes and finishes while support tanks. Jungler tanks buff camp and support helps damage, then support recalls while jungler goes for a gank with 1 buff.

From there, depending on success of gank, we have options: Jungler can recall and buy t2 jungle item (and wards/pots or something else) then clear other half of jungle solo, support now joins adc as normal. jungler can return to other half of jungle meeting the support there and continue his clear with the support.

Basically, the support accompanies whoever needs the most help. With a harder jungle, at really early levels the jungler needs the most help. The support can take inspiration masteries to get xp from to not fall too far behind while this "super leash" puts the jungler enough ahead to successfully start ganking and controlling the map despite only 2 health pots and stronger camps.

Obviously you need to convince your adc and support to try this out, so if anyone has a team willing to test it, let me know how it works :p

I mean I think the whole point is to make it hard to survive in the jungle if your just farming. It makes junglers choose between clearing and ganking. I'm not sure to be honest if it will work but I love the idea.

The point of the jungle changes was to make the jungle hit harder, as to differentiate more between sustainy, ganky, carry, whatever, junglers.

So yes, the meta is changing right now - the full effects of which we'll only see in January, when competitive play in all regions starts again.

Also, you really should Smite ASAP on your first camp, for the buff.

@prof: Yes I agree, I'm suggesting an idea here that I simply can't try on my own due to not having people to test it with (as it requires a minimum of 3 players and maybe a full 5 man team).

@Greg: If I knew it would work, I wouldn't advertise it and would just take it straight in to Games and try to convince my support to do it (or duo queue, and ignore the adc raging that he's solo) :p the idea is the support won't suffer much and the jungler will get ahead so he can solo clear and gank, basically like in s4 except with no gold stacks but better gold anyways and gank time when camps are down. It might also make the champion smites possible if trailblazer isn't needed for clears.

Add me, I'll try it with you as either the jungler or support.

At work now but will add you if you're around to do it later. Feel free to try it with someone else if not, just make sure you message me the results :p

@AGarner: I do suggest starting krugs/gromp.

I have had no troubles circle farming the new jungle with any AD jungler.

Haven't played any AP junglers yet :/

I feel like they made the jungle "fine" for those players who have been playing since beta and all.. For us new players who started late September the jungle is definitely too hard. I think they geared the game towards those people who are already pro. I was loving jungling prior to the new jungle, it's just impossible to jungle with yi and actually be useful.
