Why not give Warmog's ARMOR some armor? While reducing its HP a bit.
Even if its only like 20 armor... keep the items niche "hp regen" but i feel like even after the CDR buff to it, its still outclassed.

I'd rather just see more health on Warmogs, or even a different stat (e.g. movement speed).
It doesn't need armor. We have lots of HP+Armor items. Sunfire, Deadmans, Randuins, Ohmwrecker. Why make another of the same?
Cuz we we don't rly have a viable hp armor and cdr item :/???
We don't need one with all 3.
Because it's not meant to have armor. It's an HP reward, and if it can't give a substantial amount of HP, it makes it all that much harder to activate it.
An HP reward that is subpar to other hp items..
Because being able to retreat and regain your ENTIRE HEALTH BAR is supar to 50 armor? What.
Yeah and guess what the fountain does that too.
Not ARAM's that's for sure.
And since when is recalling halfway to 90% of the way across the map more efficient than waiting a few seconds out of the line of fire? What about if you are pressuring a tower or being a presence to keep a tower from being taken? Is it better then to back to the fountain?
Lifesteal?
Requires you to HIT SOMETHING. Something that isn't a tower.
And guess what path minions follow?
Yes, because a full tank
, etc, are going to do enough damage per aa that they can gain enough health to fill their 3000-6000 healthbar in a reasonable amount of time? At that point they are not "tank" they are "unkillable fortress of doom that will rip your body and soul to shreds while never being able to die", and that seems unfair.
Health is like armor against AD and AP though.
Still outclassed my friend.
With an argument like that? Well, let's just say you are not doing your crusade any favors.
Just like many other niche items in league, it'll probably get removed because of how niche it is.. At the very least they should make poke comps strong again so it actually has more reason to be bought.
if any item needs changes its thornmail.
warmogs was supposed to be the "i need a lot of health" item. please just stop with removing more and more health from it. it used to grant 1350 health at some point.
just stop removing health from items in general. compared to the start of the season, tanks and fighters have like 300 to 400 health less on their items. its really getting stupid.
if
really needs a buff then put more health back on it to solidify its nieche.
I thought insane hp regeneration was it's niche
Also historiclly the biggest HP item outside Leviathan before that was removed.
Yeah, but it's health is too low to be bought vs hard engage which is generally where health is good. Now u can buy steraks instead for more ehp
I still buy the Warmog on most supports just because I enjoy the healing I get if I manage to survive a bad fight. Warmogs plus SV works great against those late game mages that blow up 80% of your hp bar bit cant quite finish you.

yes, and no.
out of combat regeneration. while its useful, it usually only means you heal up enough after a fight to keep on pushing down an objective. just like an adc who buys lifesteal and heals up on minions after a fight.
% health regeneration is also only useful if you have actual health to back it up.
And what's ur point..? U need 3k hp to get the increased regen... sounds like enuf to back it up to me.

Yeah, and in exchange they get 300 slotless health on Strength of Ages. So tanks are unaffected but bruisers and assassins building tank aren't as tanky as before. It's a good balance.

strength of the ages gave 300 health at the start of the season. and its a shit mastery for laners.

Tanks are shitty laners.
Tanks who actually lane -

Tanks who do not lane -

Champions who are not tanks and should not be as tanky as tanks while building tanky (thus the Cinderhulk dependence and Strength of Ages is not available to them) -

I'm glad that Riot has recognized that tanks are essentially forced into the jungle and rewards them by making them straight up tankier than bruisers and juggernauts in top lane.

it doesnt even matter. everyone has a keystone. fervor is at least twice as strong as strength of the ages. and the mastery has existed since the beginning of the season.
its a fuckton less health on items.
[{quoted}](name=Critmaster Garen,realm=NA,application-id=3ErqAdtq,discussion-id=kaJaRN9I,comment-id=00050001000000000000,timestamp=2016-08-01T18:23:01.681+0000)

Good, again, bruisers need to be squishier than tanks. So tanks just get more health from their masteries and items than bruisers do.

yea, the problem is bruisers and tanks buy the same defensive items.
only that actual tanks buy more of of them. so the health loss is even more noticable on tanks than bruisers.
plus, its not universally true. juggernauts need to be as tanky as tanks for example.

No, they don't. Juggernauts help their team out by dealing a large amount of damage over a very short period of time, so even if they die faster they've still contributed more. If they are as tanky as tanks it becomes significantly harder to kite them for long enough to kill them.
And as for tanks and health, Spirit Visage actually gained health this season. Randuin's Omen has as much health as it ever has had, and Zz'rot Portal is a fantastic tank item BECAUSE it has no health on it.
The items that have lost health this season are Banshee Veil (Spirit Visage has always been better) and Warmog's Armor (not a popular item on either tanks or bruisers).

i think this is a misconception.
first of all juggernauts contribute with sustained damage. not burst.
second, theyre not contributing more than tanks. tanks just contribute with cc, engage and peel. which is by no means less valuable than the damage juggs provide.
apart from that, spirit visage lost a load of mr. banshees lost a laod of health. veteran scars got nerfed by 120 health.
I'm still annoyed by the veil nerf.
Get rid of the CDR and give it both armor and magic resist, I feel like warmogs is supposed to be equivalent the deathcap or bloodthirster where most champs in that role should buy it. Even if it was like 800hp and 15-20 Armor/MR.
Because theres already plenty of items that do that?
If you need more armor, then just get
Warmogs has sort of been the go to "I need a ton of health" item for a while now, be kind of weird to change it now
That's what steraks is for... u actually get more EHP than warmogs
champions with health scalings still get more out of warmogs, and the shield from steraks only procs from burst, vs poke it's better to have warmogs
Edit: also steraks shields for 30% of your max health, so getting both increases the shield amount
at which point u have no resistances to actually make it hold up.
What champ goes for
and
and nothing else? Or even starts off getting those two? If you are getting these two, you are probably going tank and therefor Mr and Ar would be mandatory.
Give me an example build then? Cuz to me buying both seems like a waste on MOST champs.. only 1 i can see both being good is volibear.
Anyone else and its taking up too much space.
Imagine Olaf, Reksai, or Shyvana as examples:

Not enough resistances... The
would be better replaced by a
or
etc.. I like the idea, but quite frankly its just not that strong to build both.
The person was saying that if you are against burst
then
would be better. If you were against poke
then
would be better. Personally, a tank like
could use those well.
Right now the only use of Warmhogs is if you have
because the %HP synergy makes it worth
Terrible idea. That would actually be a huge nerf to Warmogs, and would force people that barely crest 3k HP with two items to buy another HP item to activate the passive.
When you find out what a Warmog is it will make far more sense why it doesn't have armor.
Cuz then it would be like every other armor item. 500hp 50 armor. Deadman's, Randuins, Sunfire are all the same thing with a different passive.
Randuins has 60 armor buddy=]
More hp please!! Warmogs should just give you 1k go again . Atmogs still my favourite meta golem build ;D to date
I'd be fine with that.. It needs to compete with Steraks in some way to remain a good HP buy.. Regen alone isn't appealing given how "hard engage" is the best team comp rn with some wave clear. Poke is non existent.
