Varus does so little damage from basic attacks?

I wanted to see if anyone else felt this way.

Varus is one of my favorite ADC's; however, there are two reasons that I find myself neglecting to play him. 1. He has no CC potential. Sorry, but his ult does not count. It does not stun for very long and is so easy to miss. In fact, I find that I hardly ever use his ult for that reason... 2. His damage from basic attacks feels so low.

Every time I play Varus, I feel like the other ADC, no matter, deals so much more damage than I do. Leveling up and even buying Blood Thirstier doesn't seem to make a big difference. Honestly, his Q is the only thing about him worth while....

He's rather broken, in my opinion, and it's very unfortunate.

The item changes in 4.10 hurt him a lot, and given that bloodthirster is sub-par to infinity edge( making adc's like tristana the best) at this time, it's a big blow to his power.

It could be because you're playing vs ppl with runes now and dont have any your self? (the 10-15 AD at lvl1 is pretty noticeable)

While Varus has AD base with other lower marksmans (which -5 from graves who has highest), this is easily offset once you have a point in w, and has good attack speed scaling.

Its Low Cuzz He Gets The On Hit Bonus From W. I Rush Reaver And Do Fine, Its 80 Ad Is Equal To Bt You Still Get Life Steal. Mana Steal To Continually Poke With Q And CD Reduction. What More Do You Need :)
