Safe, reliable long-range engage is why some tanks can never be viable

Title.

Nautilus Ornn Sejuani . Their ultimates are the strongest parts of their kits in a pro setting (bar maybe Nautilus's hook) because it allows them to initiate or disrupt a fight from a distance.

Riot seems to think that Sejuani's E is the only problem. But it isn't. Nerf her E stun as much as you want, but as long as she has it, it's still an insanely powerful spell in coordinated play. Likewise, her ultimate is absurd in its applications; a long range stun that also dissuades teammates from moving in under the threat of taking more damage and being slowed themselves.

Ornn's R is more obvious in being the biggest and main problem of his kit but Riot seems hesitant to do much about it. While the changes on PBE will make him "better" for soloQ because he'll just do more damage, I wager that even if Ornn's durability takes a hit, he won't drop one bit in pro play presence because his ult is simply too powerful. The ability to start a fight from so far away is just invaluable and sets up so many variable ways to follow up with ally flanks.

Nautilus has a plethora of issues, I'm just adding him because I'm still salty about Riot killing his jungling and turning him into a support. I don't know how much pro play presence he's gathered recently but I do know that he has a habit of swinging between "very picked" to "not at all."

With this complaint in mind, the only champion I have a suggestion for is Sejuani. No real functionality change needed other than to remove the on-hit stun and make the storm much stronger. I think this would also make the spell a lot more "fun" to use in soloQ since the visual appeal of the storm is currently downplayed by the importance of the stun. I think the storm could even stun at the end of its pop, if you'd like to return the fantasy of a 5 man stun with the caveat of a delayed impact.

Editing in: Other tanks who have long range engage don't have the same issue, normally. Maokai's R is safe and long-reaching but it is far too slow to be reliable and more often ends up being a means to get people off of an objective more than it is to CC. Zac's long reaching but he can't do anything if his E is stopped, Malphite and Amumu aren't safe, etc.

So, you want Sejuani’s Ultimate to not stun, and instead work like a massive slow field like Aniva’s ult (with less damage obviously)?

If the pop of the ultimate stunned instead of being front-loaded, or if it had some other condition like enhancing her E somehow (making enemies marked by R stun automatically/stun faster?) then her ultimate would be fine. It'd also help to reduce the pesky anti-synergy she has in her own kit where using R first robs you of damage and CC time on the target you ulted.

The storm bit of the ult creates far more interesting gameplay than a stun-snipe and yet the former was nerfed when the latter was the problem to begin with.

Wasn’t the prerework ult a 5 man stun?

It was a problem because it was front loaded. Sej hits R -> You're stunned, you lose.

My proposal opens up many more interactions for Sej and the opponents to play around while returning the fantasy of the old ult (rewarded for good plays with strong CC.)

Atleast it gives her synergy with having another initiator on her team.

Ornn ult could use a Braum ult treatment, CC the first target and "disrupt" the others
