All mages are part of the mage update, he just isn't getting as much focus as the others.

I don't really think he needs any work. Although he's weak in a straight fight, his ultimate and ezmode stuns make him super useful to his team when played properly and he has a decent winrate right now.

Exactly, they are a lot of things ezmode in this game. (e.g. A blitzcrank pull+knockup combo= win) But because his stun is targeted he can't have a lot going on elsewhere. He also has to have to be one of the slower and squishier mages, that being paired with the fact that he has no reliable escape ability and you are heavily reliant on an ability that only effects one target and can be thwarted by many things in the game.

That honestly seems perfect for a nearly globally present champion. Obviously he shouldn't actually have good dueling potential unless way ahead since global vision and a tp means anyone out of position at any time just gets assassinated by him, and having low power in a 1v1 means he really shouldn't have a lot of counterplay potential to further reduce his limited effectiveness. I really think Twisted Fate deserves to have a targeted stun and feel generally weak outside of the potential his ult creates.

I'm tired of hearing sht about potential. Potential doesn't win games especially in rank. Consistency does, (for example. everything that is strong in it's current state that has no probablities) global ulting doesn't mean sht outside of bronze and silver. If a yas can winwall or a fizz and zed can dodge your stun that's a 3rd of your damage gone, (possibly more as Q normally comes after the W) and all the safety you thought you had on 1 ability. For a great theme and some unique features he has, his playstyle is extremely binary and it's either you have enough damage to kill them or you don't.
