I just wonder. On Teemo I sometimes do 
build, and if the game is long I'm left with few thounsand gold spare, and I would gladly sell something cheap for something more slot efficient, but there isn't really anything that would be close to function of zeal items, but like 3.2k gold. But there is no such item.
I find it silly, because crit builds are supposed to be lategame stuff.

Zero Skill Tank1 votesYeah, but Zeal items are supposed to be for AD carries, class that is suppose to have the most gold, and be the most gold dependant. Meanwhile they are among cheapest items in the game. That's what i can't get.

Zero Skill Tank1 votesGold efficiency never tells whole story. DPS/gold ratio of crit surpasses DPS/gold of AD with just a single AD item.
But this is not the point of the topic, I don't mind zeal items being cheap, I just wonder why there isn't some kind of lategame zeal item with say 3.2 gold worth of stats. If game drags and I get tons of gold, I'd often think of selling items for more slot efficient ones, but there isn't really AS/crit item that I could replace zeal items with.
