I dont understand people hatred for Riot making skins for popular champs.

We all get it, you hundreds of mains on the boards want a new skin. And he is long LONG overdue for one.

But at the same time, Riot is a business with their only game being free. They have to make money somehow.

And i think people forget the point of skins in the first place IS TO MAKE MONEY, hence why they arent free. Riot isnt a moneygrubbing company if they only are on certain skins.

Also skins can take MONTHS to develop. Why spend money paying a skin team for months to create a skin that will net them a fraction of what they paid, like a Yorick skin. Now there is no doubt in my mind they are trying to think up an idea for Yorick, and they may lose money on it.

But dont get pissed off every time a skin releases for a popular champ when the point of skins is to make money so that league can be FREE... WITHOUT ADS EVERYWHERE.

I just personally thought all the leakers missed something and tryn would eventually get a rework after all the "found leaks" are presented.

Either that or the incoming change has something tryn will love.

But I don't really care about all the "riot is a business", they already make themselves loads of money effectively. If they find a cool skin concept, they'll work on it and release it.

I saw someone explain it as Tryndamere is a very easily champion to design skins for. Which I am inclined to believe, so it can be an easy cash grab for Riot.

I totally agree that Riot is a business and wants to make money, however, people are going to want skins for their main champion, especially if there aren't any good skins currently.

I personally hate Kindred's skins, so of course I'd like to see one that isn't shit IMO. She was just released though so me complaining that she doesn't have 20 skins is unfair. However, there are champions that have been around for years that only have a few skins, while others have 10 or so. So if someone has been an X main for years, yet hates all their skins, it's not unreasonable for them to want a good skin for the champion they play.

It is entirely reasonable to WANT skins for your main. But the issue is when people are just upset at Riot for not making the skin or skins, unbeknownst to the long process of making them.

I think people tend to underestimate how much value a Yorick skin would have these days. Sure, it probably wouldn't make as much money as another Lee or Yasuo skin. But considering the amount of time Mr. Mori's gone without any cosmetics, and how many years people have been clamoring for one, I'm willing to bet at least a decent skin for him will sell like hot cakes once it's finally released.

A lot of people seem to think Yorick skins will sell. But according to his playrate, Yorick still looks unpopular, sporting a 1.5-2.5% winrate ~40th in his lane.

And just cause he deserves one (which he for certain does) it doesnt mean it will sell. I WANT Yorick to have a skin, hell a really good skin like a 1350 or 1820, but that doesnt mean i'd buy it.

If as many people who say yorick deserves a skin, actually played and showed more interest in the champion other than the meme, I am almost positive he would get a skin fairly quickly.
