A question about Ingenious Hunter

  1. Does Ingenious Hunter also effect ward CDs?
  2. If so, does that mean for control supports, it plus Ghost Ward is the biggest ward boost in the game?
  3. If not, can someone explain why I wouldn't take both?

1: I believe so.

2: It would be.

3: You wouldn't take both because it's generally not optimal. Tank supports generally want resolve/sorcery (sorcery for manaflow, specifically). Enchanters want Sorcery/resolve (Aery, and the shield/healing boost), or Sorcery/Inspiration (Lots of useful tools for supports in inspiration, especially Future's market, since it effectively gives you more gold, and supports are meant to do more with less gold).

Mmmm, so I'm going to push back a little here. Future's Markets doesn't provide more gold, it just allocates gold at different times. It's an interest free loan. I take Inspiration when Tank Supporting because the free boots are huge, and the gold problem as a tank is bigger.

But as a mage, IMO, you're not only likely taking more active items, you're going to want more wards out, and since you get more uptime on your yellow wards or sweepers, and since ghost wards don't count toward your limit, mages can light up the screen a little more efficiently IMO. But what do I know.

Dude do that, ignore the combat emphasizing builds. I love control styles of play and I think you should go for maximum vision control over a very slight edge in combat effectiveness.

Do what? I'm already doing that if you mean go Ghost/Ingenious

Yes keep doing that. People tunnel visioning on securing kills is ruining the game.

If you're support aren't you going to replace Yellow trinket with a red one anyway? Since you have item 3401 and co?

I'll be honest, I'm a Support Main in LoL and an efficiency main IRL. If you're me, here's the way I see things:

With Ingenious Hunter (IGH) and Ghost Ward - Trinket Wards are now far more important than they had been since you can stay in the field far longer with trinkets on demand, and the biggest limitation is the 3 ward cap. I want to stress that - the cap holds me back more now than anything else.

Therefore, it's more economic in my mind to run a Farsight Alteration because it comes up a lot more frequently now, doesn't have a cap, and the SS rarely runs into Cap problems because by the time I'm beyond cap I'm probably going back to base soon anyway. If this is the case, with SS slotting in one more item than previously the case, I'd pick up Duskblade for the Blackout - it has more consistent findings anyway.

Now I have to figure out if IGH reduces the CD of Duskblades Blackout.
