If you're going to make a post about balance changes, include *the whole* change.

#Note: There are exceptions where changes are added to PBE after a post is made

I see this time and time again, someone will make a post talking about current balance changes, but only include the buff or nerf part of the change, depending on what fits their post agenda.

For example, there is a post I read not too long ago that listed all of the "buff" changes to the ADC itemization, claimed that IE got a price reduction, and many other half-truths like how Lord Dominicks gets total armor reduction instead of bonus armor (but forgot to mention that it no longer has the Giant Slayer passive).

At best leaving in only part of the change makes you look like an asshat, but at worst it results in a lot of misinformation being spread around the boards. Some people may think that misinformation on a gaming forum isn't an issue, but I do. It hurts communication with riot if the boards as a whole refuses to even acknowledge the full extent of changes that they make.

I agree. Half-truths are usually tantamount to lies.

Agreed.

That's Boards in a nut shell though.

They see what they want, not the whole picture.

item 3031 cost reduction reduced by 100 gold Lifesteal and crits removed from the game

"IE LOSES ANOTHER 100 GOLD! JUST ANOTHER PART OF THE RIOT ADC FETISH!"

They cherry pick information to fit their agenda, probably the most common argument tactic.

"KINDRED GETS ATTACK RANGE AND SPEED FOR STACKS WTF RIOT MARKSMEN DICK SUCKING"

But IE now gets 20% true damage no need to specify on it.

Thanks for making this post, been wanting to say the same for a while now.

Yasuo could get a -50% dmg overall but that +3 base AD will send board flying in a fit of rage :^)
