Drakes

A complaint I have for them is the randomness in which they appear. Sometimes you get 3 of one in a game and other times you get one of 3 different drakes, making buff stacking from them a matter based entirely on RNG. There are also times in which neither team goes for the drake for a while simply because the available drake is devalued by both teams in terms of an objective.

What if a Use it or Lose it system was implemented in which a drake spawns at predetermined points in the game. If one is not slain in time then it will be replaced by the next one.

The first drake could spawn at 3 minutes into the game instead of 2:30 with each additional drake spawning every 8 minutes afterward rather than ever 6 minutes after each one is slain.

Something like

3:000-10:55 1st Drake 11:00-18:55 2nd Drake 19:00-26:55 3rd Drake 27:00-34:55 4th Drake

35:00 Elder

Each of the 4 elements could appear once in the game and the buff provided by each element could be based on champion level rather than how many times the drake is slain. The order in which they appear could be random, however.

Anyway that's just my suggestion. One that, like so many others, will most likely go ignored by Riot.

Riot's justification for implementing the drakes is shown in this board: http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/gameplay-balance/a9gcgfzV-elemental-dragons-what-were-doing-and-why

In the board, they have explained what they were intending to do by introducing the randomness of the drakes:

We had multiple goals when updating dragon... Introduce more game-to-game variation. We want to create different situations to respond to, with the feeling that games are more meaningfully different from each other. There should be different strategic situations to understand and respond to and handling that well is we believe a core skill in LoL.
