Don't play a champion just because they are "OP"

I see this all the time, whether it's Darius or Fiora, or whatever pick of the month. The moment the champions not banned, the Yolo Queue player, jumps right on the bandwagon, having zero experience on the champion, but playing them anyways because they are "OP". It annoys me and it saddens me to see someone lose because an incompetent player, just jumped on someone they had no experience with, expecting more.

?? Your title's misleading, don't you mean dont play champions who you don't have experience with? Playing a champion who is op isnt bad.

It is bad, just because the champion is "OP" (Not really just above average in strength), doesn't mean your good enough to play them. I've seen it plenty of times. (To many)

How many times have you seen people playing that champion well? If 9 out of 10 people play it well, and one person feeds it doesnt mean nobody should ever play that champion ever again. That is why i said that playing a champion you dont have experience with doesnt only apply to that "OP" champion

It's not 9/10 though :/, generally those champions perceived as "OP" have an average of 15-20 games per player played on that champion. So they obviously know how to use them. (At least decently) It's none of them have an above 52% winrate. This is a message to those to hop on to a champion with little to no knowledge and only play them because someone say the are "OP".

so if you had on your team a first time yorick you wouldn't get more upset than a first time fiora?

Especially Fiora. I keep seeing a lot of Fioras waste their Parry, and only ever Q forward and not at the vitals. It's painful to watch.

I know.

I bought Fiora because her mechanics were intersting, a dash, a perry, and a team-saving ult? Sign me up.

But I found that I'm no good with her. Shen seems to be promising for me.
