I love new Warwick's kit, but his NUMBERS are so god damn BUSTED at the moment

I get that this is PBE, but hitting 2.5 attack speed with only bloodrazor and at lvl 9 is just not OK.

Well, you only get the full bonus when attacking someone below 20% HP, so its ok in my book. Other champions can just execute you when you drop that low, so why shouldnt warwick be able to hit you faster?

You know what else is not okay?

Warwick's new E + Challenging smite + Phantom Dancer = 80% damage reduction in 1v1's. XD

Graves been there done that

  • item 3047 = 92% DRed against aa. (Did someone say ADC ? )

Take the bond of stone mastery on top of it to make it a nice 96%...

What is this damage you speak of and what does it taste like? XD

no. that is not how damage reduction is calculated...

an example:

pd gives 12 % damage reduction against last enemy hit red smite gives 20 % damage reduction for 4 seconds

the combination of the 2:

damage taken = 0.88*0.8 = 0.704 Damage reduction = 29.6 % not 32 %

Either way, it still adds up to be a lot, especially in conjunction with WW's new E. I'm expecting that he should be able to excel in 1v1's because of that.

Not as well as current warwick... He have less damage and less sustain/healing. He will not hae the option of increased attack speed either. Besides loosing a lot of base stats.

PD is not really a good item on current Warwick and I do not se that part change much. Don't get me wrong, I think Warwick will still be strong 1v1, but a 2.5 second damage reduction is not enough to help him match up to current warwick on that front.

I don't know, I can't help but feel like you're underestimating the new Warwick a bit just based on raw numbers. He's a lot more mobile now and if he's built attack speed then the 2.5 seconds of reduced damage plus the duration of the fear that comes after should be more than enough for him to output some heave damage with no chance of the enemy returning much to any of it.

I have seen people play him on streams/videos and with different builds. He just do no damage compared to live warwick.

I don't know, the people I've watched in videos seem to do quite well with him. I'm watching people like Redmercy (diamond), Pants Are Dragon (Challenger), Brofresco (Gold/Plat), and NightBlue3 (Challenger). It looks like the best way to build so far is the way I always used to build him anyways which is Bloodrazor and BotRK into tank.

is everyone in this thread just adding the damage reduction percentages together? Is it not multiplicative?

Nerdvana2 votes

it is multiplicative, but they are doing bronze maths...

Sasogwa2 votes

I don't know why people downvote the guy that does normal mathematics opposed to % damage reduction pure addition (seriously guys?) and at this point I'm too afraid to ask

Nerdvana1 votes

because I have stated that I also consider new warwick a nerf based on maths, I think. Hence the reaction from people who likes new warwick's added potential and less liniar approach will make a reactionary downvote of simple mathematical facts.

New champions usually have high numbers. If it's too much then it'll probably be nerfed.

Big Lincoln1 votes

only if they're 25% or below

probably is too high but it's basically giving him execute potential without actually being a straight-up kill move

Live Warwick have waaaaaaaay better numbers than reworked Warwick.
