Can Lucian W give bonus damage on his marked targets?

I love Lucian, but I feel like he is in a weak spot with the armor pen changes. A lot of ppl simply don't use Lucian W unless they need to proc his passive. That should not be the case. There needs to be a real incentive to land his W.

So... would it be OP if damaging a target marked by his W did additional hybrid damage?

Example...marked targets take additional damage from his auto attacks.

Something like an extra 10% bonus AD and 10% AP from his auto attack.

Would that be op?

Lucian isn't in a bad spot IMO he is, currently, at the skill level and damage that all adcs should have Although I do think his W is only used for the passive, it also gives movement speed which makes his THAT much more difficult to stick to Dealing bonus damage from auto attacks would make it a little too strong considering how long the mark is on for If the mark has an infinite amount of attacks he can proc more damage then with about 250 bonus AD you can easily deal an extra 200-300 bonus damage per mark which is a lot considering it will also proc with his passive If the mark gets consumed after one basic attack then the movement speed portion will be gone and that would remove some of his very little utility But that is just an example

Well your opinion is wrong. Stats and number don't lie. He is not in a good spot. Just because you have a certain opinion does not change a fact. and the fact is right now he is weak and the numbers back it up.

Stats and numbers should be used as a tool to find a story, not to make an acusation Look at champion.gg as you can see even some of the lucian "mains" still have a 50%-the 45% winrate This does show that he is below average currently BUT if you look at the counters, lucian has a 30% winrate against twitch Twitch is currently the highest winrate champion in the game He also only really counters Ashe, Kalista, Draven, MF, and sivir who are adc champions who are arguably weaker than lucian Overall, he is weaker because of the lethiality AND his counters being strong, and the champions he counters being weak, but still isn't as bad a kalista who still has like a 42% winrate

The champions Lucian counters go even in lane with him and even outscale him very early in the game. All of the ADC's you mentioned in lane except Sivir and Kallista should be crushing Lucian on average.

According to champion.gg Lucian mains going 125+ games have a 43% winrate and Lucian mains who have 50-125 games have a 49% winrate, that's so variable but at the same time it doesn't even reach 50% in either case which is pretty ridiculous considering how experienced a Lucian with 125 games should be. On average Lucian has 45.0.1% win rate which is actually lower than Kallista's.

Kallista has a 45% winrate while her mains have a 72% win rate according to champion.gg( most likely skewed).

Honestly dude, check your sources before forming an opinion.

Lucian is the Renekton of bot lane. If he is ever strong, he determines who gets to be picked in bot lane. If you can't deal with his safety, all-in, and absurd damage potential, then you don't get picked at all. Just because he is no longer dominant doesn't mean we buff him out the wazoo. There are plenty of champions doing worse, and he still has one of the highest playrates across the ADC roster.

His passive is already a strong damage steroid. Adding another would just be an overbuff.

i haven't seen lucians struggling at all; statistically he's doing poorly, but I would argue it's because people are figuring out how to build him again

I don't buy that argument. I haven't seen anything indicating that he has any successful builds right now. Crit sucks, lethality sucks, and the Draven BT rush sucks. Nothing is good. He's just trash.

I would honestly rather support a Kalista than a Lucian right now.
