I'm glad Riot doesn't listen to all the QQ threads the board receives. I for one, am looking forward to these changes.

More mana/cd stat on items.
More item diversity
Lower priced items
Nerfed cowl early game vs AP ( and nerfs to banshee's and visage)

Only bad thing I see is the zhonyas active nerf (90s -> 120.)

"More mana/cd stat on items" Yes but heavily reduced mana regen, so that new bar is going to go empty and stay empty faster.

"More item diversity" More items, but even fewer build paths.

"Lower priced items" Oh boy, now I can get my garbage sooner!

"Nerfed cowl early game vs AP" Now if only Zed/Talon built these.

In short riot is NOT actually addressing the current problems, and consequently they're just creating more problems.

More mana is fine, as long as it's well executed.
Throwing some CDR on some items is not well executed.
We won't have much more diversity. Only 2 new item (Hextech Rocket Belt, that will probably be nerfed/reworked/removed, and Hextech GLP-07A) and 1 item that is no longer viable on 90% of mages mid (Athenes) Most ranged mages will have about the same amount of damage as before (Xerath, Veigar, Lux, Viktor, ect...), since most items that got reworked got nerf in AP departement.
but as I said, items are not as strong, so it's a win/lose
nerfing cowl will only help top lane, as it's the only place that builds it early game.

I'm fine with removing spellvamp as a stat We still don't have more options for MR, Armor and health Our only option for armor got nerfed.

here's some math: Morelonomicon is cool, it's worth more than before (2900g instead of 2840g) and is a lot more cost efficient (126.07% vs 118.33%) Zhonia's Hourglass is worth less than before (2722.5g vs 3075g) and is more cost efficient (90.75% vs 87.86%) Rod of Ages (no stacks) is worth less than before (2525g vs 3100g) and is about as much cost efficient as before (101% vs 103.33%) Rod of Ages (full stacked) is worth way less than before (4068.2g vs 5063g) and is less cost efficient (162.78% vs 168.77%)
