How do you solo Yorick?

And I am not asking for a list of champions without any explanation behind them. Those comments are just spam, especially for people who don't play or understand those champions. I'm looking for tips, tricks, strategies, and possible items that counter him.

Best option is kite him.

But if melee, stay on the move and only go all in when he is out of mana or his abilities are on CD.

I took out a Yorick as Kled by going all in, dashing when I see him trying to use his wall, and backing off when I see their jungler or he's knocked me off Skaarl.

He's not that strong without his ultimate, kill either it or him if he sends it to splitpush.

not listening to you and pointing out one of his biggest counters, which requires zero explanation. Renekton summoner 14 and the ability to double dash. That's it. You can even be overkill and rush item 3123 or item 3155 first back.

I don't play Renekton. I've never gotten the hang of him. And I've used Executioner's, Ignite, and Ultimate on him all at once, but Yorick just tanks it even when under my turret.

He's a lot weaker without his minions. Engage him when he has little to no graves and no ghouls. Disengage when he brings them out.

well he is a sustain champ that has good damage... and pushes... so you need a champ to counter that

i have found success beating him with Maokai Trundle

they have damage reduction can cc him and sustain as much as he does

Chogath is also good with is silence to stop Yorick from spamming spells his natural counter to push back and he heals and has massive sustain... and he does true damage making Yorick go more hp and less damage limiting some of his damage also Yorick inst really mobile so you can land Q easily

but that is me

Ah-hem. He's more of a half of a sustain champion. Yorick doesn't have enough sustain to stay in some fights. Sustain champions will out-sustain him. If Yorick doesn't get his damage out pretty much any sustain champion can just free farm until Yorick backs.

Trundle can be a good pick to be strong if played correctly, but I wouldn't recommend counterpicking as him top lane unless you're taking smite because item 1416 item 1419 item 1418 is way more potent to deal with him as long as you ward your jungle at 6.

Chogath might look like a counter, but its more of a skill matchup just like Maokai . They do look like they counter, but they really just make item 3512 Yorick inefficient and counter just that particular build.

Multiple threats midgame and lategame to Yorick are a lot more effective than running a laning counter.

This champion is guaranteed to go even and is basically a game of chicken. If Yorick leaves his towers when you have your items, you win all the turrets. Kayle

Aatrox with a jungler camping for him is pretty bad for Yorick.

Trundle straight up beats yorick. He heals from yoricks ghouls dying and from minions dying. He can use q to reduce yorick empowered autos and out trade him by taking his ad. His pillar sets up ganks or disengages. Yorick has no escape. Trundle ult steals yorick stats making him easier to kill and making trundle tankier. Trundle is a great duelist and tanky bruiser items like iceborn favor him

Yorick has no escape.

Yasuo will make Yorick's life hell pre-6, and, if properly fed or the Yorick gets a little too cocky, will make his life hell post-6. Yorick's minions are easy targets for dashing, Yasuo can dash out of the wall if a target is close enough to do so, and windwall will block Yorick's E so no getting marked and jumped on by the ghouls and the Maiden. Of course, the maiden is a huge source of damage and is not blockable by windwall, and Yorick's Q+Sheen still chunks like no tomorrow, but most Yasuos probably wouldn't even let him get close if the Maiden targets him.

Swain outsustains Yorick in trades, especially post-6.

Renekton has two dashes and his godly early game damage and sustain.

Rumble clears minion waves (Aka: pets as well) well enough, and engaging on Rumble means taking Flamespitter to the face.

Mobile ranged tops like Vayne, Quinn, Graves, Kennen, will kite him to hell and back.

Ignite and Exec's calling can null the sustain given to him from Q, Ghouls, and Maiden. Hexdrinker would control the damage dealt from the Maiden and Passive max health % magic damage from Yorick attacking the same target as her.

High sustained damage that can reach him is always a problem.

Try to avoid picking your main into a Yorick.
