Are these champs okay in Solo Queue - Mid Lane?

Just curious if the following champs are ok in solo queue to carry yourself in Mid lane?

Kassadin
Ekko
Heimerdinger
Orianna
Syndra

Kassadin is a time bomb waiting to go off, if you're playing into another mage, he's even stronger. His burst once he gets his 2 core items spikes really hard. Fairly weak early game but his q gives him a shield when it lands so he's not entirely defenseless early.

Ekko is pretty good from what I've seen. Though I've seen more Ekko jungle recently, but i'd imagine he would favor well in mid also given the buffs he got recently. Post 6, its important to pay attention to where your "shadow" (not sure what it's actually called) is at. It follows you on a 4 second delay so can be used to ult into someone for a bit chunk of damage or a get out of jail free card.

Heimy is more a top lane mage, or bot lane mage depending on the situation. He can go mid and do well, but a lot of champs with mobility and high burst live in mid aswell and can easily close the gap to him. I wouldn't say you can't take him mid and do well, you certainly can, but top and bot will be more favorable.

Orianna is a lane game monster who requires a lot of understanding to make function properly. Her early game is really weak and if pushed in can be ganked fairly easily. Would recommend taking her into practice tool or Vs bots until you get a decent handle on her.

Syndra is great mid. The biggest thing I've found getting used to is maintain the number of balls she has on the field at once. She's also immobile and very squishy so you can get punished real easily if you make mistakes.

Realistically it just depends where you elo is at. If you a lower Elo player anything can practically be played anywhere and work. But the higher your elo gets the more you'll need to pay attention to the meta.
