My thoughts on Yuumi

I know that so many people have shared their thoughts on Yuumi, but I wanted to share mine, and what I think is the problem with her. So I'm gonna go over how I think each of her abilities (and passive) could be improved upon.

Passive: I think that having the squishiest character in the game be required to go well in range of most adc's and supports to get a shield is very frustrating, safely getting a shield is far harder than it should be. What I think could fix is having it so the passive basic attack has 50 additional range. This means that Yuumi would have 550 range for this attack, putting on even ground with other adc's. Even then it's still risky however it is fair because most adc's have an attack range of 550.

Q: This is actually in a really good spot. Only improvement I can see is making it deal 50% damage to enemies that are very close by (say 50-75 units away).

W: By itself this is in a good spot

**E **: My problem with this is that in order for it to be an effective heal it needs to be 1)affecting an ally that is about to die 2) paired with item 3174. What would greatly improve this ability is changing the minimum heal ap scaling from 10% to 15%. This would bump up the overall power of the ability which is what this ability needs

R: I have only one problem. This ability might as well heal enemies, it does NO damage whatsoever. The cc from this ability is perfectly fine however the damage is problematic. What I think should be done is increase the damage of each subsequent wave from 50% to 60% OR change the base scaling from 20% to 25%.

That's all I really gotta say.

Please let me know what you think should be done to Yuumi!

I will add this :

She is AMAZING... but only late game. Probably the first support to actually have that much trouble in lane while having the best scaling (Except R, that dmg is crap all game)

Q actually hurts alot and is a guaranteed death when chasing.

Late game E is strong, but is very underwhelming early on and feels like Athene is a must rush for it ot be decent. I alway go Censer > Athene or Athene > Censer depending on my ADC AA pattern.

W is fine, but some ''Base stats'' + % would feel better for it to be more useful at low ranks since support rarely reach lvl 16+ these days.

Passive : The shield feels useless. I do my Auto and already lose it a second later in lane. Feels like the shield is only for myself to mitigate the punishment for getting some mana back... I rarely get a chance to put it on an ally, even late game.

That's why increasing the range on the passive would be better, you wouldn't have to get so close and so you could pull it off more often.

Riot's putting off buffs for Yuumi for at least another patch. They don't want to revisit her with nerfs. Her win rate has actually begun to increase since her fix.

Let's hope that any buffs she might receive make her less of a troll pick.

I don't know, I'm enjoying her greatly despite my initial negative thoughts on her. I may only be bronze at this point, but I'm winning more than half my matches with her.

Then either you're pretty good or your enemies are bad.

I just know she's a troll pick because when I hover her someone said "pls no". Also because people talked about people taking her into ranked right after release and they did not know how to handle her playstyle or just make her work.

The opinions of other players shouldn't prevent you from enjoying the game. And, yeah, people ought not take a champion into ranked without first practicing it in normal games. I honestly do not take ranked anywhere nearly as seriously as I used to, but I know better than to ruin the experience of other players by being selfish like that.

As for Yuumi herself, I find she's a great champion overall.

Her passive is underrated and underappreciated. Her basic attack isn't really anything special on its own, but every so often it will restore a generous amount of mana as well as provide a decent shield that can be transferred over to an ally if used on an enemy champion.

Her Q is an excellent poke tool during laning, but only while attached to an ally champion. It doesn't provide much in the way of damage after laning, but it's used less for its damage and more for its long range and slow. It allows her the means to help her allies secure kills without taking them herself. Also, if a minimal health enemy manages to survive your allies' skills, you can still use it to kill secure yourself.

Her W is the part of her kit that players probably aren't utilizing properly. Yes, you can remain attached to an ally champion for however long they don't return to the fountain (smart thinking on Riot's part to add that feature that auto detaches her on returning to base to prevent afk Yuumi play). But that's not an optimal means of playing her. I spend maybe 60% of the game attached to allies as Yuumi; otherwise, I'm placing down wards, I'm auto attacking an enemy for a quick shield either in lane or in fights, I'm fleeing a lost fight, or I'm leaving one ally to help another somewhere else in need. So, I personally invest in boots of mobility to that end. Also, her W does provide a decent adaptive force buff to her and her attached ally.

Her E is best reserved for low health allies as its effects are doubled at that point, but it's not always a good idea to wait that long. Plus, in lane, as long as you utilize her passive properly and frequently, the mana cost becomes a non-issue.

Her ultimate is mainly for crowd control purposes. I usually unattaach before using it or immediately after using it to allow me better control over it. Also, allies are more likely to follow through on the ultimate if they see me unattached and using it on enemies. Instead, if I remain attached then my allies often behave as though they don't know what my intent is and they just carry on doing whatever, which means I ended up wasting it.

Then it might be a case of me just not having learned a champion enough.

Thank you for the advice!

she doesnt need buffs she needs heal nerfs. one heal was over half the health of an adc in one of my games. he was healed from half hp to full.
