Can I for once make more LP than I lose?

Seriously why do losses lose me like 28 LP but a win gives me 17 LP? Even when I do great, I never make more than 21 LP for a win (breaking 20 is rare enough), but every loss is 21+.

I lost 28 LP because of an afk. Not even remotely my fault. Yet when I carry, +17 LP.

I think it depends on your win/loss ratio, the bigger the difference the greater the disparity between LP gains/loss

How so? I've had massive losing streaks and have won shit levels of LP when i finally win. And I lose massive LP amounts When on a winning. But I lose massive amounts when on a losing streak too.

whats your record of wins/loses?

roughly 40%-45% w/l from last 20 games because I had a small losing streak a week ago, but usually it is around 50%. Overall it is about 51.5% W/L according to the client.

Well, if you're at 50% win rate then you're right where you belong. If everyone gained a ton of LP every time they won, everyone would be challenger.

But it is not even a lot, if anything it should be equal loss for equal gain imo

LP gains/losses depend on your mmr relative to the division you're in. If you're roughly at the average mmr of the division you're in, you gain about the same as you lose (19ish). If your mmr is above that of your division, then you'll climb quickly due to gaining more LP than you lose, and if it's below than you'll fall since your lose mroe than you gain.

Your mmr is closely related to your win/loss ratio, but your mmr gains/losses depend on the average mmr of the opposing team, and that can be thrown off from what might be expected when premades enter the picture.

I feel ya bud. All you can do is play your best and not get tilted by other players or the system. Good luck out there.
