This is a concept made by me, a Season 4 Skarner one trick. He's lost his identity since then and I stopped playing him, but I feel now is the perfect time for a modernization of his kit. Here's my take on the updated kit of Skarner.


Skarner, the Protector of the Mountain (New Lore)

Skarner protecc mount targon. He was originally surrounded by many different protective gems, but gave half of them to Taric upon his victory (Read Taric lore if you don't get this). Skarner has the power to forge extremely beautiful gems at his will. He still a skorpio.


Passive - Crystallize

Skarner's damaging abilities add stacks of Crystallize to enemies. At 3 stacks, Skarner's next basic attack deals 4-8% (Based on Level) bonus max health damage as magic damage and Crystallizes them for 1 second. 8 second cooldown per enemy.

_Crystallize - Enemies cannot move or attack, and their cooldowns will not tick down. _


Q - Fracture | 20/22/24/26/28 Mana | 8/7.5/7/6.5/6 Second Cooldown

Skarner slashes in a 180 degree cone in front of him, dealing 25/35/45/55/65 (+0.4 AD) Physical Damage. Then, crystal spikes erupt forward in a line, dealing 55/95/135/175/215 (+0.7 AD) Physical Damage and slowing enemies hit by 40% for 1.5 seconds.

Both instances of Fracture deal 55 Bonus Physical Damage to Monsters


W - Gem Guard | 60 Mana | 18/17/16/15/14 Second CD

Skarner shields himself for 60/100/140/180/220 (+10/12/14/16/18% of his Max HP) for up to 6 seconds. While the shield holds, Skarner deals 12/18/24/30/36 (+0.2 AD) Bonus Magic Damage on his basic attacks.


E - Diamond Dash | 70 Mana | 16/15/14/13/12 Second CD

Skarner dashes forward, dealing 100/140/180/220/260 (+0.5 AD) Physical Damage to all enemies hit. Stops on the first enemy Champion hit, slowing them by 70%, decaying over 2 seconds.


R - Stargazer's Sting | 100 Mana | 120/100/80 Second Cooldown

Skarner stings an enemy champion, Crystallizing them for 2 seconds and allowing him to drag them around with him for the duration. At the end of the sting, Skarner deals magic damage equal to 15/25/35% of their missing health.

Skarner cannot cast spells or attack aside from Gem Guard or Fracture during Stargazer's Sting

Skarner would need a cooldown on his passive, or a major nerf. If he gets his three attacks off, he stops everything from happening with the person he's hit. He could build attack speed to trap someone in a loop of being unable to move or have cooldowns decrease, and that's no fun for the people he's attacking.
